Chances with Bacot?

Roy should just quit recruiting him and stop wasting his time. The soothsayers have spoken.
Grew up a Dook fan and coveted the offer. They'll sell him on the OAD route too. I'd be glad to be wrong and he end up at Carolina but I don't think he will.
Destination unknown but he certainly appreciates that we play inside-out ball.

THI basketball recruiting analyst Clint Jackson has been on Bacot since he was transitioning from middle school to high school, and has seen him play many times.
“It's no secret that I am a big fan of this big guy from Richmond,” Jackson said. “He has great hands, instinctive post moves and soft touch facing the basket. His 6-10 size is only enhanced by his developed skills. He's gotten his body much better and it's helped his rebounding and shot blocking. He's the best big man in the state of Virginia since Ed Davis.”
Granted this is an old piece but it tells me that we are as well positioned as anyone else, at this point.

I know Bacot is 2019, but for the recruiting class, are our only true hopes at the moment for adding guys with Black and White going to be Little and possibly Hamilton?
Little + a stretch 4 seems most likely. Don't think Hamilton is in play anymore (which I'm personally fine with).
Maybe a minority opinion but I am more interested in Carey anyway Rose. I would love for us to get Carey, Davis, and Joey Beard, to go along with the PG.
We have a real shot with Bacot, though not the favorite right now.
I would say that's a fair assessment.
We've seen too many swallow the (K)apel Kool-aid, but he is a perfect fit here --- classic UNC 5-man (a trimmer Meeks) who can come to a place where he'll actually touch the ball before it hits the glass. Hopefully he "gets" that as much as he sez....
Kinda seems like it is actually, seems to be much more want for Bacot than excitement for our prospects with Carey or Wiseman, not sure why. I think we may be the team to beat for Carey and seems we are in decent shape with Wiseman as well.
Telling ya now, back to back natty games and winning this last one has amped up our profile with these recruits. Folks tend to think in straight line terms when recruiting is a bit translated off. Meaning, we played in the 2016 natty game, folks think in terms of the 2017 class should see fruits from that. But in roads to these kids is made beginning as freshmen in HS, other programs already had their hooks in them deep. You have to see your positive profile in front of them at least by the time they go in to Jr HS year. Said all along, the fruits from playing in the 2016 natty game would do us more good with the 2019 class, wining last season only made that profile for us stronger.
Now if we can get the NCAA off our arse we could see the cycle of recruiting swing back in our favor and IMO to an extent it has already begun. This current crop of frosh was early influenced by to much negative about us, 2018 not as much, and 2019 it flips and amps up our perception.
Amen to that. I feel like we've missed on so many good bigs who have said how much they like how we feed the post...then they go to a school that ignores them. Boggles my mind.
If he likes an offense that starts inside out he won't find it in derm.
I think the answer is simple... it's because certain schools sell them on being there 9 months then becoming a millionaire and Roy won't sell that crap.

Bacot or Carey seems like you can't go wrong either way. Both will be highly influential with our coaching staff. puke can't still be attractive to bigs after the incredible "growth" of Bolden and Jeter!
