Honestly when are the refs going to call Okafor with a charge when he backs his defensive opponent down on the block. Nearly every time. Just can't figure it out.

How can the refs be expected to call offensive fouls on Okafopr when they are busy making certain that VT's Pierce would foul out?

Winslow fouled that kid from VT at the end of regulation.... of course this being the doochies...... no call

They sure as hell didn't call it in OT against us. I guess Kennedy should have tried a dookie flop to emphasize the point.

Okafor does that back down bump with the defensive player as his go to move. The defensive player should take a few flops to get the attention of the refs. He is too good a player to have to go to that move. I've seen it on many different teams as well, this rank is not just on Okafor. He does it often but so too do many other players. Refs need to address that in their sessions on how to improve the game.

Yes, if players would flop they would possibly get the call. It is a shame that is what the game has come to but that is what it takes. The NBA is the only place I've seen that called without the flop because their officials are considerably better at calling advantage/disadvantage plays.

Does anyone seriously think they are going to make any significant amount of calls against Duke. I have given up on the thought, especially after the refs hosed UNC last week against them. The officiating is at all time worst in the ACC. The commissioners office has no integrity because it refuses to fix it.

And this is the exact reason why I NEVER watch dook games. I get so sick of seeing the BS they get away with, as well as the Rat F'bombing refs all night with no repurcussions.

Agreed. In our game with duke I was screaming for Meeks to take a flop. It would have been called.

But with that said, I absolutely love Okafor's game. He is the quintessential big man to me (at least on offense - he's a terrible and lazy defender). He is so strong and so skilled. He's the best offensive big man I've seen in the college game in quite some time. People want to compare him to Duncan and I think that comparison is way off. He's far more skilled offensively at this age than Duncan was but isn't near the defender that Duncan was. Frankly, I think he's more offensively skilled than Duncan ever was while in college.

This will get called by non ACC refs in the NCAA tourney and cause their demise ... it will catch up with him, mark my words.

The month after February and non-acc refs are always their demise.
