I talked to chick_bleeds about a week or so ago and there was a cool story worth sharing.

She works full-time at the Lowe's over in Clemson, and she said Danny Ford came through her register in the lumber department earlier this month. She said he was a really nice guy and was buying a lot of lumber. She asked why he needed so much lumber and He was very talkative and he said he farms full-time now and he's going to be farming Hemp. Apparently he must know the state legislation and how it works to allow such a thing. But, she said he was very pro-Hemp and was going on and on about how Hemp was such an amazing, abundant resource, etc.. She said "It never really dawned on me about his celebrity status until he was long gone. Most people around here would have kissed his feet."

She's got a young buck boyfriend who also works there and graduated from Clemson who was quite envious when he heard about the interaction, even though, I think he's too young to have even seen the team when Ford coached.

Lol she works like two miles from my house then.

I was glad to hear that Hemp will be farmed in SC!

Danny Ford was a great coach, but he didn't coach my team! In fact, my memories of him as a coach weren't fond. His first year at Clemson did have the Woody Hayes Gator Bowl debacle, which I saw on TV, live. It was the day after my 11th birthday! My dad said "You won't see him coaching again!"

Noooo... her bf is a dyed-in-the-wool Clemson fan. I helped chick make a Christmas gift for him with the Tiger Paw painted on a canvas. That kid is "ALL IN!" We went by Dabo's new house at the end of last year to see the decorations. Such a vulgar display of wealth!;)

His son is possibly the biggest douchebag I've ever met.

Well he didn't follow NCAA rules either so I wouldn't be so sure about that.
Did he not? I don't recall.

I highly doubt SC is close to decriminalizing Marijuana. But, hemp farming is a good step. I have a feeling Ford could get some slack from the local LEO's if he's doing it illegally.

Don't you mean @TarHeelNation11's mom?

That's on the weekends. Unlike GSD I'm not into tag teaming broads.

Ahhhh... let's go kick his ass!

No joke he almost got in a fight during an intramural basketball game. He ran his mouth to the point where multiple guys were ready to knock him the F out.

Hunter Renfrow is every bit as nice as you'd expect though. And quick AF, I had to guard him. /:

Only time I have ever seen any of the higher profile athletes in public was at the movie theater down near 85, exit 19. A friend and I were seeing The Martian the first weekend, and all the football team were there watching... something. Big muther f'ers, too. All oranged-out, like most of the locals.

Dang, I was working in Anderson last week and met a college buddy of mine for dinner at the Blue Heron in Clemson. Small world.

I remember Ford from back in the day. Good coach, but I wasn’t a follower of college football back then like I am now.

I see them all the time on the bus because I park in the athletic district. The linemen are ridiculously huge. Some of the skill guys look tiny compared to how they look in pads though.

There are a LOT of Tar Heel fans around here, too! I've had some really fun interactions with fans and wound up finding out where they're from back in NC.

In fact, one of Chick's coworkers has become a good friend and he's my age. He grew up in Wilmington. We went to the UNC/Clemson game a few weeks back, unfortunately.

Is this a serious question? Lol. No, he absolutely didn't follow NCAA rules.

But you ask any Clemson (or Moo) fan older than 45 and they'll swear up and down to you that it was John Swofford's fault that Clemson got such harsh penalt(ies) from the NCAA, in particular that Swofford successfully lobbied for Clemson to get an extra year of post-season ban. In reality, this claim is 100% false.
