Christmas Swag

Santa did very good this year (as did my friends and family). I got some awesome things. Highlights included
  • Beats wireless headphones
  • Tickets to see John Mulaney at DPAC
  • A ton of dvd's/blu rays
  • Several books (Stephen King, who I've been trying to read lately, and some books about television)
  • A few t-shirts (currently wearing my Hamilton-Stranger Things mashup one)
  • Some UNC things (Adam Lucas' book Redemption, the championship game on Blu Ray, a knock-off lego version of Ramses)
  • Alcohol
  • A few video games (including the new South Park game which I'm looking forward to playing)
  • Money for a yearlong Moviepass subscription as opposed to the month-to-month that I have now

Call of Duty WWII game. I don't play video games too much anymore but I wanted this one.

Also, my daughter got tickets for us to see the Impractical Jokers tour at DPAC in June. That should be pretty funny.

I saw that they were coming to DPAC And wondered what that would be like to see them live because I feel like they can’t prank each other really, but let me know how that show is. I will watch the TV show from time to time, it’s pretty funny, not my absolute favorite show but it’s pretty fun

My family agreed not to exchange presents this year, which means it was pretty low key. I still received some small items for my new RV like bakeware that will fit in the under-sized oven. Also got a day-glo orange hoodie to wear so I don't get shot by hunters while boondocking.

The biggest surprise was from a family friend. She's not rich or connected or anything like that, but somehow she scored a copy of this signed by Roy Williams:

Funny you should mention this. I see marathons of IJ listed on TruTV all the time but had never watched it until this past weekend. My mom and brother came to my house for Christmas. We started watching this show and were in tears after the first 5 minutes. Freakin' hilarious.

Yeah, they can be corny at times but my daughter likes that show and they usually make me laugh. So it's more about the experience that I'm looking forward to. They are an improv troupe so I don't know what to expect. I'll keep you posted.

Yeah I knew they did improv so I expect it’s more that than pranks but that’s interesting. The punishments are my favorite parts of the show

Cash to buy guitar pedals because my family were too scared they'd get the wrong thing.

Really nice Columbia rain jacket

Bladder for my hydration pack for running

A basketball

Some clothes

Cologne

A few books and other smaller gifts and candy.

The prime rib dinner might have topped all the gifts though

Snow... a whole lot of snow! How people can live up in these climates is beyond me. It hasn't gotten above 8 degrees.

A co-worker of mine went back up to his hometown - Erie, PA for the holidays. And they just got 5 FEET of snow! Supposedly they might get another foot this coming weekend. F that. I'm a damn yankee (by birth) but wouldn't live back up north for no damn amount of money when you have to deal with that $#!+.

I would be in paradise as a kid. As an adult though, yeah, F that.

That's horrible. I can't imagine spending the holiday vacation buried in snow.
