And at the end, it was stupid play calling that gave Pitt the ball at mid field with a time out.

So it's not just us.

Unbelievable. Dumb play call. Watson threw a pick in the end zone that Pitt returned 70 yards to cut it to 42-40.

Fake Forest has held Louisville to 3 points and they are in the 3rd quarter. Does anybody want to tell me that Wake has more talent or is deeper than UNC on defense?

Cards are too much - but my hat's off to Clawson. He's done a good job at Wake.

If Colorado is #12 in the nation then we are #11. I just don't buy Colorado.

Mich, Washington, and Clempson all go down to defeat A lot of people lost a lot of cash this weekend. I think Iowa was a 22pt dog at home. I am really pissed at our game at Derm... what a lost opportunity.

Numbers 2,3, and 4-all lost on the same day. Amazing.
And that means Clemson still has a shot to get in the playoffs. As does Louisville.

The Big Ten and SEC will not allow 2 ACC teams in the playoffs. Behind the scenes they would do whatever it takes to prevent it. But here is a question: neither one wants the other to be the first league to have 2 teams in the playoffs. Each of their aligned committee members surely will try to prevent that too, while pretending to be honestly impartial. And this year, that means it will be the SEC working to prevent 2 BT teams getting in.

So, will the SEC people act to get 2 ACC teams in to thwart the BT?

I feel clemson is still in it too. Mich lost, then A&M and Auburn lost... I feel like they'll only drop to 4th.

OSU could jump them, but their loss is to Penn State, and who did Penn state lose to? - Pitt.

Clemson is easily still in it. winner of osu and mich alabama. clemson and probably oklahoma at this point tbqh. Pitt has wins over Clemson and Penn St. The Clemson win actually backdoored tons of SoS to Penn State, so expect them to rise a good bit as well.

Washington has really beaten no one. Clemson still has beat UL and Auburn and FSU.

and PSU was annihilated by Mechegan 49-10.

Worst case scenario is Bama vs OSU... The two biggest prick coaches and arrogant fanbases this side of dook 'basketball' fans and k.

i don't mind saban...i kind of admire him and his philosophies...and i'm hoping for that matchup.

alabama is the blueprint, imo.

The amazing thing about Bama this year is...

If they wanted to, they could have a five star player on the field at the same time for all 11 defensive positions.

Clemson wins out, and they're in....Same for Michigan and Washington, but I think Washington will lose to Washington State in the Apple Bowl game after Thanksgiving....The really interesting scenario is what happens if Ohio State beats Michigan and Penn State wins out?.....Penn State goes to the B1G title game to face Wisconsin, while Ohio State would likely be the first team to not win their division, but still make the playoffs, and I personally think that is what is going to happen...

So my early final 4 is: Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson and either Louisville, Wisconsin or Oklahoma....Michigan loses at the Horseshoe, and Washington loses to their rival to knock both teams out....The Wildcard is Wisconsin if they win the B1G title because I believe they would get the nod over the Sooners if Oklahoma beats both West by god Virginia and their rivals, the Pokes?....Will start to get some answers this weekend about Colorado as the Buffs entertain Mike Leach and company in a must win for both teams.....

Going to be very interesting this tuesday to see where Clemson, Michigan and Washington land in the polls after losing last saturday...

i disagree about saban. just because he doesn't put on fake smiles for the press doesn't mean he's a prick. he's a micro-manager which is not an endearing quality, but he had to be because that program was out of control when he got the job. nobody works harder and that's the key to his success.

As for Clemson, I live in the middle of Tiger territory. All I have heard is the whining that the officials cost them the game. Officiating was horrible but nothing as blatant as last year's infamous off sides call in ACC Champ. I'm glad to see they aren't immune to this high school officiating. Are other conferences as bad?

Yes. I have seen awful officiating across the country. My tendency is to label the ACC perhaps the worst, but I know that because those games mean the most to me, the bad calls and no calls in ACC games resonate with me much more than those of other leagues.

Why it is so bad nationwide I have no idea.

Most of the officials are too damn old. A lot of them also call HS games on Friday night and JV games on Thursday Night..

I guarantee you that something is going on in that program besides just hard work and discipline. Every time a dynasty like this gets built we find out about some recruiting scandal or something a few years after it gets dismantled. Every. damn. time.

when some evidence is revealed i'll gladly join your condemnation of saban. if he is building his dynasty on cheating i'm sure it will come out. every team in the SEC hates bama and they recruit many of the same players so his cheating will be exposed -- if he's doing it.

I'm not condemning him. Its nothing but a hunch, based on what I've learned about pretty much every major college sports dynasty. As far as I remember, nobody really thought Pete Carrol was cheating at USC until the story broke (once he had already left USC). I agree, it'll eventually come out, but usually it doesn't happen until after the dynasty ends and things start to unravel.

Maybe he's the exception and does things by the book. Personally, I doubt it. But that's just my opinion.

he gets a bunch of five star players every year. if he's paying them all he'll get caught. if he's not paying all of them, he'd be an absolute moron to risk his dynasty by paying one or two kids. he has four star kids transferring because they can't get any playing time.

You are correct about the way other SEC programs see Bama. Every one of them would love to get Bama in toruble, and that goes back to the days when Bear Bryant played for the Crimson Tide.

If those Clemson folks were savvy, they would realize that their team cost itself the game. Throwing passes inside the five when they could run and even if they didn't score a touchdown a field goal would have made it a two-score game with little time left. Then to miss on third-and-one and fourth-and-one - if you can't make one yard in two tries, you don't deserve to win.

I think there are probably serious improprieties going on at several SEC schools. Any school pointing fingers is potentially opening up a can of worms for themselves as well. Can't stand Saban but he's one hell of a coach.
