I like it to the degree it prevents black helmets, jerseys, and pants.I'll probably be in the minority, but I like it!
Agreed that I don't like a lot of navy. As for changing them every few years, we really haven't. We're changing the "Fedora-version" uni's because so many old farts bitched about them. Before that though, we hadn't changed our uniform in like 25 years. There was just minor tweaks here and there. It's okay...I played in the same uni in soccer for 4 years....just don't get it...why change 'em up every few years, kids don't play any better based upon uni changes. Don't care for the navy blue either, it was always used as trim around white numbers & lettering... oh well.
Those things were the worst sort of ugly. Not just the black. The 'Carolina blue' was not right. It looked like the cheapest knock off, or done by people who can't distinguish among shades of blue. And the numbers reminded me of KU for some reason.Agreed that I don't like a lot of navy. As for changing them every few years, we really haven't. Hate to break it to y'all but the Carolina Blue ain't been right for years and years. Even during the Mack era where we supposedly wore "the best UNC uniforms ever," the damn helmet color still never matched the jersey color (this is just partially due to material. Hard to match a light color on a metallic helmet with a light color on a mesh/polyester jersey). Those things were the worst sort of ugly. Not just the black. The 'Carolina blue' was not right. Altogether - the worst uniforms in UNC football history by a wide margin.
I wish the Rivals "ignore" feature allowed you to ignore based on key words. But I'm tired of uniform talk.
