I started a thread to show appreciation for Luke on his effort today so I'll do the same for Roy. I'm the first to get on Roy for timeouts, awful sub patterns, etc. but today I thought he did all he could to keep us in the game given our foul trouble, a few kids not showing up, etc. I liked the fire to toss the coat on the bullshit call on Hicks early in the game. Roger Ayers is a greasy piece of shit and kudos to Roy for saying **** you and tossing the coat. i also liked how he immediately got Brandon Robinson out of the game when he looked completely lost and then got the lane violation on the free throw. Now he needs to put that same short leash on Nate Britt.

And saved two timeouts for next game ... while we take a terrible, frantic shot against a double team with 7 seconds left.

Didn't say he was perfect but he was better today. I do think we needed the timeout in the Maye tip out to maximize that gift of an extra possession while up 2.

But also see the thought that we are better prepared to handle a scramble situation late in a big game given our experience and their youth. We just display reallly low basketball IQ sometimes, particularly Hicks and Meeks.
