1- other than CU and FSU, the Atlantic is populated w/ 5 BAD football teams...moo, BC, Cuse, WF, and daVille. Of those, only daVille has a chance to rise to mediocrity this season.

2- Coastal is 4-2 vs. Atlantic this season so far. FSU and CU have 100% of Atlantic Ws.

3-All the Coastal teams are pretty decent, at minimum. All but UVa, GT, and VaTech could progress to being VERY GOOD as the season progresses....UNC, Pitt, Miami, Dook. And the bottom 3 Coastal teams would OWN the bottom 4 Atlantic foes....moo, Cuse, BC, and Wake.

FSU and CU are the class of the league until proven otherwise, but the notion that the Coastal is "so weak" relative to the Atlantic is pure folly in face of the actual facts.

Just depends on the metric you want to use. You could say the Atlantic is better, because it has the two best teams. You could just as easily say the Coastal is better because it has more depth. I'd say its a wash at this point.

IMO the gap between Clemson and FSU, and the best teams in the Coastal is much smaller this year than the past 2 years. They've looked impressive, but certainly not unbeatable.
