Luke West Kennard is the best player on Duke and trending towards 1st team AA. Take Kennard out of that line-up and they are looking at an 8th seed in the Dance. K-Rat will do his best to convince him to return next year when he is projected first round pick. He goes for 30 pts in second half. I hate Duke, but his kid reminds me of Jerry West (Lakers legend) more and more each day.
Of course their win against the mighty deamon deacons made front page of ESPN.

You didn't watch the game did you? If you did, you would've seen that Grayson Allen didn't do anything wrong in that scuffle. Wake's Childress was the one who ran in and pushed GA and got T'd up.
I saw it and I agree. It was all Wake. But I'll gladly join in the piling on. It's for the greater good. If Allen has to be the sacrificial lamb, then so be it.

Also, Duke's bench is either insanely disciplined or they just don't like Grayson. Two Wake players basically tried to tackle him RIGHT BY Duke's bench and it only caused a minor scuffle. Most team's benches would've flipped out and exacerbated the situation.
Yeah, Kennard was the prime reason Dook was even able to come back in that game. Personally, I like the kid, he can ball, and isn't a complete head-case like Allen is.
Think of the player Kennard could be if he wasn't styling his hair on the defensive end of the court. Have you ever seen that? Dude loves playing with his wig - which by the way looks ridiculous.
I'd take him on our team without hesitation.
He isn't your typically dookie. The kid can play. He broke Lebrons HS scoring record in Ohio.
Just think of the kind of outside shooting we would have with him AND Jackson. It'd be unreal.
I shared over the summer, all the talk aboiut how amazing that freshman class was, all the talk about Tripster being a lotto selection, I saw Kennard as the guy that bothered me more than anyone else on that roster and I sure have not changed my mind on that.
Being honest, he is hard to hate, kind just goes about playing his game, no nonsense, kind of the polar opposite of Allen. He is steady and determined, the kind of kid that is likely to go off for 30+ on us (hope he doesn't) and all you can do is respect what he just did. Really hope he is a NBA 1st rounder after this season, cause frankly I do not want to see that kid as a duke Jr.

South, I agree 100%. Sometimes reality sets in and when it comes to this kid. I hope he leaves after the season. He is a solid first round draft pick. I felt the same about Kyrie Irvin who is already the best NBA player to ever play at Duke. No rival fan wanted to see Kyrie Irving back for a second year and if he would not have gotten hurt that season who knows how far they would have advance in the Dance. Kennard is the real deal.
