Which comeback do you guys think was better, the A&M comeback or the 8 in 17 seconds against dook? In my opinion the 8 in 17 was a better comeback since there was no three point line, but given the situation I think you could make the argument either way.

I'm not sure it was a better comeback, but I think UNI's collapse was worse than duke's. On the plays when they got it inbounds but then got caught in the trap, if they had just chucked it down the court they'd have burned up enough time to win. It would be hard to give up that many points that fast even if you were trying to.

I just kept thinking how bad it must've felt on Monday morning to be a UNI player (or fan).... especially for the seniors. Sadly it always seems like the losing - especially like that - is much more painful than the winning is pleasing.

Same goes for MSU. People were shocked that they lost and it seemed like some were happy. Wow - how bad would it be, to be a fan on campus or at the game on Friday? All your valid hopes and expectations dashed. I wouldn't wish that on any program....save one. :)

Our comeback was better THE greatest in history..... NO THREE POINT SHOT!!!!!!!!!!

at that time. Just an amazing series of events I was not at the game, but watched it from the frat house. Still can see Sweet D making that 30 footer

Ours, and it ain't really close. NIU just did some brain-dead stuff that dook didn't do. A&M also had the 3-ball, a clock that stops automatically on a make, and BIG-TIME help from a zebra (cough, cough, Jamie Luckie, cough).

Again, impressive comeback but it still ain't close.

What about Len Bias against us in '86? I don't remember how it went down exactly, other than he sank a long shot, stole the inbounds and dunked it. Went into overtime and he single-handedly outscored us. Probably wasn't anything quite like the 8 in 17, but I remember how shocking it was at the time.

Both pretty amazing. In a calm moment rational play would have prevented both comebacks. We have all had disappointments in our life, some our own fault. Just don't know how these guys cope with it for eternity. Yes, lots more important matters will come their way in the future. Maybe they learn to deal with this and are better for it in the future, but man it must be tough
