Congrats to King Rice

Former UNC basketball player King Rice has inked a new contract extension that will keep him at Monmouth for the next five years.

Rice was named the National Association of Basketball Coaches District I Coach of the Year in 2021 for the third time in the last six seasons. He was also the recipient of the MAAC’s Coach of the Year award, his third such time earning that honor since joining the conference in 2011.

I know there’s another thread about the game Monmouth was supposed to have with UNC. Don’t read too much into it. King and Hubert are good friends. Look for them to work something out in the future.

I'm sure they did! I would have been thrilled if he was the choice just like those peeps! He would have been a great choice, but anybody who doesn't recognize that UNC hit a homerun is either delusional or hasn't been paying attention!
