Pro league finals (especially NBA) are fixed to go a set number of games, to drive revenue. They are also fixed to have the top draw, large market and large national following teams make the finals, Superbowl, etc.
Also - the whole JFK assassination conspiracy theories are interesting to me. I read a great book by a very meticulous forensic investigative reporter, who did many years of research for his book. Gerald Posner - book is Case Closed. He goes into so much detail on Oswald and Ruby and their backgrounds and connections (family, friends), political interests, etc from when they were children. Also went into such amazing detail on every aspect of the entire crime scene days before until days after the assassination. The cars, the streets, the neighborhood layout, how police reacted.
Its hard to read the book and not believe that Oswald acted alone, in my opinion.

I find those theories interesting too, I like to read/watch the documentaries, but I still feel that Oswald acted alone. I'll check that one out that you mentioned.
If it’s of significant interest to you, go to Dallas. A few years ago, I had to go to Dallas for work. My conference had arranged for all of us to be able to take a guided tour of the warehouse and the streets where it all went down on our off time. I’ve never been into the whole JFK thing like others but it was fascinating shit. I highly recommend.
Agreed. I went to the book depository museum a few years ago, and I thought it was interesting, fascinating, eerie at the same time.
The sniper's nest on the 6th floor is behind plexiglass, but I went up to the 7th floor and looked out the window just above where Oswald fired the shots.
I should've mentioned - I think the book was at least 450 pages, so it can be a tough slog, so much detail. Even about Oswald's wife, people around Ruby's club, etc.
Posner had a couple other books that were interesting to me: one on the assassination of MLK called Killing the Dream - another conspiracy book but the JFK one was better. Posner had another good book on 9/11, where he does investigative work on how the 9/11 events surely should have been detected beforehand and avoided / thwarted. Pretty good, and damning / incriminating about the incompetence of big agencies in Washington govt.
I think he's a good author. Has some fiction novels, and historical books too, though I haven't read those.
I kind of enjoyed the Chick=Strum conspiracy theory while it made it's run.
11/22/63 is a cool book about the JFK assassination once you weed through the Steven King fantasy stuff.
Hulu turned this book into a series. It was good but I enjoyed the book more.

The bible being the inerrant word of god. Not poking the bear. If you believe it so be it. Lots of people i love and respect do. But the conspiracy promoting the idea is incredible.
A couple of friends of mine have been insisting that I check out the Conspiracies series on Netflix so I will finally see, and agree, that the Moon Landing was fake. I relented. I'm more convinced than ever that the moon landing was real.
The TV show Myth Busters did an episode on the moon landing. They pretty much discredited all of the "evidence" showing it was faked.
I didn't really see any "evidence" in that episode that it was faked. They talk about the stars not being in photos, and there being no wind on the moon. I dunno... I never had any remote instinct that the Moon Landing was faked. And, they must have faked it several times, and then faked the 13 mission of not making it to the moon. And, fooling Ron Howard seems like a long shot.
It wasn't wind that was blowing the flag. That's one of the things they showed in Myth Busters. They showed why everything happened the way it did. The most popular "evidence" that is used to say it was faked is the "wind" blowing the flag around and something to do with the footprints. They used science to show that the deniers were wrong.

Only possible if the earth were to quit rotating. If that happened the atmosphere would continue to move at 1000mph wiping the earth’s surface clean and we wouldnt be here.

It doesn't have to be either/or. That's my beef with nonbelievers. I can be a man of faith and still recognize what science proves. But science geeks refuse to recognize the potential for a higher power. It's irritating.
And oh yeah, not sure if you've been made aware of this, but the Bible isn't meant to be taken literally. It's a book of metaphors that if read correctly, conveys the appropriate message of Christ.

And be careful labeling me a “non believer” and grouping me with others you label as such. I am very much a believer. I just dont deny science and logic in doing it. What i dont believe is that the bible is the inerrant word of god as is claimed by evangelicals. And i can quote you dozens of mainstream pastors claiming just that, metaphors notwithstanding.

I'm no Biblical scholar, that's for sure. But how is it "plainly" not a metaphor? Can't I read it anyway I see fit?

Metaphors compare two things. And yes the bible is full of them esp in revelations . But yea u can read it any way you see fit i guess. To me its meant literally. If not what comparison is he making? That the day was long maybe? Do you think the ark story is a metaphor?

I mean, those big bombers in WW2 were leaving contrails at high altitudes where it was really cold air, but people are trying to say that planes are leaving chemical traces in the sky? Weird.

And, this Flat Earth thing is really kind of disturbing. I thought it was a joke about a year ago... now, I know that there are a LOT of people who really believe it.
Aliens and Bigfeet intrigue me but I feel pretty sure there are no real sasquatch's.
Now, extraterrestrials... I don't know man. I feel like life in other galaxies is very possible.
I saw a documentary a while back where they followed around this family of aliens who lived on Earth. I think it was called the Coneheads. It was interesting seeing them try to fit in. One of them sort of looked like Dan Aykroyd.
yep, apparently these morons didnt take 7th grade science. but it has a HUGE following. my educated, successful brother-in-law is 100% convinced that chemtrails are a part of the government keeping us dependent on the health care system, vaccinations, etc etc. it's a big "society."

I watched a interview with one of the top scientist with NASA and he was asked what was the main obstacle to getting man back to the moon.
His response was that as of the present we can't safely get them through a belt of radiation that surrounds the earth to get them to the moon.
So if we can't do it now how they do it then ?
