Gentlemen . . we have another 8 game week this go round. 3 mandatory games and then please choose any 4 of the 6 optional games listed.

I have included 2 games this weekend that are above the usually targeted less than 10 point spread because both games are top 25 matchups and I have listed them in the 'optional' category. This is likely the only wknd that you will see Alabama offered up, but, I could not resist including the #1 @ #3 teams playing each other. Same for #14 PSU @ #5 Michigan,

LSU has a pretty good defense and the home crowd advantage . . . but, 'Bama is just so dayum good at every position on both sides of the ball. I have no doubt that both teams will be pumped up for this 8 PM game.

The O/U is set at 53.5 at the moment . . I wouldn't know which way to go with that line.

I'd say your opinion on the total would be based on your opinion of the spread. If you think Bama covers, they're probably going to need to score enough to hit the over. If you think LSU keeps it close, that's probably going to be because their defense plays well and keeps it a low scoring affair (since their offense won't be lighting up the scoreboard on the Bama D).
