The guy is calling what the calls should be for uva, asking for every call to go the Hoos way. And he is celebratory on every positive uva play. He's just awful.

It's James Bates from the ACC "network" who partners with Wes Durham. I have zero idea what Gridiron is talking about....Bates was extremely complimentary of Carolina all game.
I really like that crew, but that's just my opinion.

Bates is a former Gator but he genuinely seems enthused about covering the ACC -- which is kinda refreshing.
Always enjoy listening to Wes, as he conjures up good memories from his old man.
And Bates seemed reasonable to me. He comes off impressed by UNC's weapons and he was right in being critical of some pathetic DB play and dumb penalties. He also said he didn't think it was offensive PI on Hollins right before the half.

True all comments. I posted this early, and Bates did drop some of the Hoo cheerleading as the game went on. And yeah, he called BS on the phantom Hollins offensive PI.
