Win all 3, and the team is 10-2. That is a big deal, because it means a good bowl against a good foe. And 11-2 with a quality bowl win sets up a good short term outlook for recruiting etc.

A 7-5 finish is no better than a 5-7 finish because it means back to back seasons of total collapse late.

Either way, though, there is no coach in history who at 75 was as sharp with as many big wins as he had in 40s and 50s. The longer Mack stays, the worse everything will get.

Winning all three won’t dramatically shift the narrative unless it ends up being enough to make it to Charlotte. If anything it would just reaffirm the fact that this team never had any business losing to UVA or GT.

Not playing for an ACC title this year would be a massive letdown. Being 10-2 and playing in a good bowl game won’t change that in my opinion.
