@andrew jones this is a MAGNIFICENT drop. Your ideas are exactly what the NCAA must adopt or they will lose fan support VERY quickly. I would venture to guess that 2-3 more years of the current system with no changes will likely mean the loss of 30-40% of the fanbase. Football may keep fanbase a little longer than basketball, but not much. I especially like the 2 years at a school before requirement. Schools should have to provide multi-year contracts and the only "out" for that contract is (1) to go pro, or (2) to transfer but have to sit out a year (AND lose one year of their 5 years of eligibility). The only exception should be for players transferring because the coach left the school. If the coach leaves, then a transfer should be "free".
