I watched the last 30 minutes or so and I didn't disagree with anything he he said! Am I in the wrong?

Didn't watch it. With the exception of the state of the union speeches I try to stay away from the self promoting speeches that all presidents give. I don't need to listen to them tell me how awesome they are and how they are going to make everything perfect. Actions are far more important than words.

Although Trump did mention what he had done so far, he offered his vision for the future. Unifying speech I thought. Dems pretty much made asses of themselves. GREAT moment when Trump honored the Seal just killed in Yemen.

Great moment indeed ...and some crybaby Dems couldn't even stand and applause the wife of the Navy Seal. They're truly pitiful excuses for a human being.

Maybe they were too preoccupied with the excitement of getting to piss all over public toilet seats because they're threatened by the direction the culture is moving toward, and there's nothing they can do to stop it.

No no, they're the ones pushing the culture in that direction, and they absolutely could stop doing so if they wanted. There's nothing they feel "threatened" about in regards to that.

Can we get some details on what they did to make asses out of themselves, for those of us that didn't watch? Somehow I imagine that party making themselves look bad wouldn't hit the majority of the media's publications, so I have no way to find out.

The whole debacle of half the room cheering deliriously at every statement while the other half look like they're trying to pass a watermelon thru their urethra. Does anyone speak for themselves? At least the dem wva governor clapped about the coal remark.

Oh and that ky hick giving the dem response was right off a snl skit.

That was a great speech. Dems should be shitting themselves right now...if this is going to become the norm from Trump, we're looking at an 8 year term.

Still looking for some details on the speech and reactions etc.

Must have been good though, considering the market is up roughly 1.5% on the news following the address. Yet another lol at the bozos that tried to sell the idea that the markets would be plummeting following a Trump election.

Who was it on here trying to suggest that markets had no correlation to who the POTUS is? Haven't heard much.

It was Lyles (maybe others as well). Which, he's partially correct on. The markets can run up (or down) regardless of who the president is, and what the public's opinion of him/her is. Even when the President is making bad decisions for businesses, the businesses themselves can be doing so well on their own that their prices will still appreciate despite the headwind (see 2008-2010 and 2012-2016).

In this case, businesses seem to be doing decently enough on their own, plus the actual changes that Trump is beginning to put in place are also good for businesses, which is doubly good, and makes the markets go up "bigly".

Nothing great about the speech. He didn't make an ass of himself like his supporters were afraid he would and his opponents were hoping for.

He basically outlined what his agenda was. Infrastructure and Military spending, America first etc. I thought it was very positive. Ask for Dems and Rep to work together. Dems made an ass of themselves to me when the families of Americans killed by illegals were introduced. Also said he wanted to do as Canada and Australia do and use a merit based immigration system.

I also thought it sucked when Trump introduced Antonin Scalia's wife and even though the other justices stood and clapped(as they never do) the Dems just sat on their hands.

Got rid of the divider, Trump wanting to unite. The people are the same. The man said some good things last night. I think he is for building the American brand up. But john Q Public is still divided. You could definitely tell who was butt hurt last night. We seem to be on a positive trend right now. And until he does something inexcusable, then I will support him. At least he hasnt made a world apology tour telling everyone how America is sorry for their "transgressions" Again, Im a small business owner, and in the middle class. These things are very important to me.

yep, even the Commie Van Jones agreed with this premise, said something like "if this type of President Trump continues, we're looking at 8 years." love it
