I think the biggest issue people took with that was the fact that Kansas had just eliminated the Heels two days prior.
not much of a comparison. Personally , I wasn't mad at Roy
I wasn't mad at Roy either but it was hard to stomach two days after they waxed us.
1 - they crushed UNC 2 days before
2 - that stupid KU sticker he had on.
No issue cheering for KU, just felt like salt in the wounds after that loss. I think we have all moved on though.

In 1993 UNC eliminated KU in the final four when Roy Williams was coaching Kansas. Roy was in the stands pulling for UNC during the NC game and many UNC officials thanked him for his support. Some of those same UNC people were among those who were quite displeased with Roy for supporting KU in the 2008 championship game.
That's cool. Roy is extremely loyal to the two schools that have defined his coaching life.
And I'll say again that I wasn't mad or hating on Roy in '08, but it was hard to take after losing that game 2 days earlier. Most of the haters are over it now. Just like I assume most of the KU fans that were pissed at Roy for leaving are over that now as well.
Both programs are in good hands.
It's hard for me to pull for Maryland. I want Hawaii to beat them. If that doesn't happen, I want KU to destroy them. Then KU can loose their next game.

not sure why Tar Heel fans would be upset at the Wake Forest coach for cheering for Kansas, but if I had to guess where they are, I'd guess they're still posting on this and similar websites
