I truly believe that Dull Dave Doeren encourages dirty play and the targeting of players. Take a look at this interview. Just when I thought that it would be impossible to hate State anymore, Doeren does this kind of bush league stuff.

Cliffs? I don't really want to listen to him talk but interested to hear what he said.

When you're listing the positives of your team's performance, the first thing out of a coach's mouth is not normally "we knocked their tailback out of the game". What a tool. And why that targeting call wasn't made is beyond my comprehension. That rule was instated to prevent hits like that.

I don't have video of it, but let's not forget the cheap shots to Renner in 2013 and Switzer in 2014 in the MooU games. Seems like a strange coincidence.

The only way that comment would be defensible would be if he were just talking about hitting the opponents running back so hard and so frequently that you made him a non factor. If you take injuring a player on the other team as a positive then you're a POS, and a coward. I want to beat my opponent at his/her best, but I guess when you're a NCeSt fan you have to take the victories where you can get them.

Yow payed him like 4x what he was making and I think he has the option of renewing every year. You would of thought she had found the next Saban.

You can't watch that game and not come away from it with the feeling that State was trying their best to take our guys out. That's how everyone in my group saw it, but were obviously biased.

On the play where Gallman was KO'd... The defender launched at him, lowered his head and lead with his crown, made helmet-to-helmet contact and Gallman immediately went limp. Regardless of whether or not he was defenseless, how is that not targeting?

But State's defensive backs were flying around all game long lowering their heads and trying to make targeting-like hits. I really got the impression that Doehren was instructing his guys to take players out

That type hit should be penalized every time it is made. Why? Because it does head damage to both players.

The game changed for the worse when players began to use helmets as weapons.

It's not just y'all:

They've knocked out (or tried to) one of our players every year we've faced them under Doeren. Not a coincidence.

This year it'll be Mitch they go after. I'm glad he doesn't run the ball often

Say what? Lol.

RUSHING.......GP...Att...Gain..Loss..Net...Avg..TD...Long Avg/G
Mitch Trubisky 8.....56...203...102..101..1.8........4.......39.....12.6

I.E. between designed runs and hits on sacks, that's a lot of opportunities for Moo to tee off on Mitch. Luckily, unlike 2014 where the team was disinterested, this year's team will freak out on Moo if they cheap shot Trubisky.

They'll definitely have their opportunities if they want to take a cheap shot, but his running the ball isn't a vital part of the offense the way it was with Marquise at QB. When he does run it he also does a pretty good job of getting down before he takes any shots. I'm way more worried about him taking a cheap shot on a sack than a designed run.

I agree, but unfortunately, the cheap shot on Marquise occurred when he was stationary in the pocket (and already engaged by another defender................). That's the only time Marquise could fall victim to a bad hit. When he ran, he was so damn powerful that he delivered the blows.

The scary thing is thinking about what could have happened to Marquise on that play. That was one of the dirtiest hits I've ever seen. That's the kind of play that can not only end a guy's career, but put him in a wheelchair.

I honestly wouldn't be the least bit surprised if they had some kind of bounty system in place.

The one who really needed to be penalized was the ref not throwing a flag and throwing that Moo U POS out of the game, they do it in the Pro's.Fedora should've filed a complaint with the ACC over this .

And they will try to knock him out of the game. Switzer too.
