Biggest mistake not handing the ball to the Freshman QBs from day 1...I said this before it was like he wanted to get fired and Looking back now it worked out in the end...

Several we're from Tucker dropping a ball, Carter fumbling, DE's being on the bench with shoegate, QBs injured, etc. All that stuff, yet the games were all very close in his analysis. Close doesn't count, but it means we've got some decent talent.

David Hale shows why I kept saying that last year's team should have won at least 6 and could have won 8 and played for the ACC championship.

I have said that John Bunting lost at least 2 games more than he should have every year he was UNC HC - and lost 3 or 4 more than he should have a couple of seasons. That is, with the players he had and the schedule he faced, he lost at least 2 games every year that a 1st rate HC would have won.

The only season in which Fedora did not lose at least 2 games more than he should have was 2015, when everything went like a perfect dream - starting with nearly 0 injuries to starters. Even that year, we lost to the worst SoCar team in a quarter of a century.

If we get the right HC, UNC football can become the dominant program in the Coastal and able to win the ACC and reach the playoffs.

If Mack is mentally and physically rejuvenated from his time away from coaching, and he's learned a good deal about both what went wrong at Texas and how the game has changed and what must be done to win now and until the changes alter the game again, then he can be that HC we've needed.

who was making all of these stupid mistakes?
was larry calling every shot or was he simply hiring idiots?

Offensively, look at our QB talent, then look at the yards per carry averaged. Fed was squeezing the lemon offensively in my opinion. Despite the QB situation, the O was medium.

Defensively, well, the D never had the horses and it was even worse 2018 without Crawford, Carney, Tomon due to shoegate, injuries, etc.

So Hale is saying we barely were a 2 win team which is way different than saying better coaching gives at least 6 wins.

Did Fedora fumble that ball vs VT, or drop that perfect pass vs cuse?

Player development/personnel was a huge issue defensively every year, time for a change, but play calling alone isn't the diff in those potential win/losses

I’d argue Larry kept us in games we shouldn’t have been in when you consider the massive injuries and suspensions we weathered. Larry didn’t forget how to coach. See 2015.

Larry’s downfall was the lack of defensive recruiting coupled with everything lose that happened. For years, he was able to cover for the defense with great offense. The last two years unraveled.
