Assault, battery, intimidation outside opposition rallies... Isn't this how Hitler came to power? Left-wingers and DEMs hooting it up in the wake of these attacks, saying the victims of these attacks deserve it... They seem very proud of their supporters committing crimes in an effort to politically intimidate their political opponents and suppress opposition free speech...

I am no supporter of Trump but you are correct.

Everyone should treat Donald Trump the same way I do. Simply ignore him.

"people" Marching with Mexican Flags, stating America was never Great, and give California back to Mexico. Then the San Jose Mayor blames Trump saying he needs to control himself.

I hope these protesters keep it up, it will only give Trump more votes and turnout.

I'm pretty middle of the road when it comes to politics, but liberals bother me more sometimes than ultra conservatives, because the latter are easier to ignore. Extreme Liberals try to operate from a platform of moral high ground and intelligence, when many (especially the tumblr types) are no different than the bigots they claim to stand against.

You guys live in a political bubble. The behavior of those protestors was deplorable, but from a political stand point the far left in America is for all intents and purposes non existent.

Any protest at Bernie or Hillary rallies has been minor and has been clashes between their supporters(Vegas). The protests at Trump events have been violent and completely inappropriate. There has not been one word of condemnation of these protests from any democrat/left winger.

you mean we haven't already given Cal back to Mexico? Then by all means let's do it and throw in New York. Cali has 12% of the U.S. population but uses 33% of the nations welfare services. I'd be glad to let Mexico deal with that.

Some liberal editorialists are encouraging rioting at opposition political rallies and events. This country is in the toilet.

you live in political fantasy.....like most libs

You need to take a look in the mirror. And then a look at some objective global news. There are prominent political parties in countries around the world calling for their government to actually take over the private sector. That is far left. The fact that Bernie Sander is regarded as "far left" is proof that the American electorate live in a bubble.

WE are not countries round the world. What's Left in countries round the world really has no relevance.

I don't know what the protestors have done. I've been at the beach. I would probably think it is ridiculous though. I also think Trump is ridiculous with some of his rhetoric. They are meant for each other.

@uncboy10

U know left and right are relative to whats considered centric. These days sanders is certainly far left of center. Not as far as say 60 yrs ago when he prob woulda been jailed as a communist

You had me until the last part. Yeah, he is pretty far left relative to other American candidates. But that's exactly my point. In the global spectrum of politics, he is a pretty moderate leftist. That disparity was exactly what I was pointing out. People should know how silly they sound calling people " far left wing thugs" for attacking Trump supporters, when they didn't even express support for any political ideology. Obviously their actions were deplorable, but if anything they were behaving like anarchists or nihilists.

He's 74 years old, he was actually around 60 years ago. And America had already elected a democratic socialist four times at that point in history. You forget that the first people that the communist regimes tended to take out were the full blown socialists or (huge difference) social democrats like Bernie. He'd have been more likely to get arrested for his politics in the Soviet Union than the United States.

But he has been arrested for civil disobedience while fighting for a cause he believes in. I can't imagine Donald Trump displaying that kind of commitment to anything, ever.

WE are not countries round the world. What's Left in countries round the world really has no relevance.

You literally just proved my point for me. Thank you.

From the article -

"Where can we find liberal bastions California, New York, and Massachusetts? California is 43rd, getting back only $0.78 for every dollar it sends to Washington. New York is 42nd, and one penny better off, at $0.79 per dollar. Massachusetts is 40th, receiving $0.82 for every dollar it sends to DC."

Nothing to do with what I was talking about. I was talking strictly about welfare. California and many northern states are much more densely populated and unionized resulting in many more high paying jobs and more tax revenue. They have all the millionaires and billionaires who are just begging to pay more taxes...LMFAO.. The only state I mentioned was Cal as far as welfare.

Great! So you agree with repealing the 16th amendment. Finally, something we can agree upon!

Also, This is next for us if Bernie survives. At least the Swiss have some sense.

Basic income is not even remotely part of Bernie's platform. Already so scared you'll resort to lying?
The only lie is belief that socialism is the answer to our economic problems. You millennials are too stupid to look at history.

Quite a lot of people are intelligent enough to not deal in these fundamentalist political absolutes like this. Bernie supporters don't want a 'socialist' economy. We don't think socialism is going to replace capitalism. But the notion that everything should be driven by the profit motive is idiotic. Market fundamentalism is probably one of the stupidest strains of economic theory in human history.

Left, right, left, right, left, right, left, right..... reminds me of something??? what is it??? hmmmm

oh yeah, controlled!

Political polarization is definitely a great tool for social control. But that doesn't change the fact that their are very real and substantive differences between the different types of socioeconomic models. The people who are easily controlled are the ones who don't like thinking or debating about this stuff.

They love debating it. The thinking part is the challenge! Or, thinking for one's self.
