I loved Easy Ed but sophomore Phelps holding his own in the upset over Hurley/Laettner 1992 was his best game to date at that time.
Could’ve won in 1994 if he doesn’t get injured.

Danya Abrams assaulted him! I’ve hated Boston College ever since then. That ‘94 Tar Heel team was so good. Could have gone all the way.
That 94 team while talented had many underlying issues.
Divide the entire season between the upper classman and freshmen. Starting five the majority of the year was not the best starting five.
No one assumed leadership role after George Lynch graduated.
I'm not convinced they win it all that year with Phelps.

The only thing that dulls the pain of the loss to BC is "Weber State"

Magpayo is a heckuva coach and is building a great staff at Fordham. I expect them to make some noise in the A-10
Agree with the above but people forget Donald Williams' shoulder midseason injury. That's what really torpedoed us against BC.
Sheed, Stack, McInnis, Montross, Reese, and Salvadori were all uber talented or highly experienced.
But we could not stop Bill Curley.
We found a way to lose the regular season conference championship to Dook. Pitiful job by the players and coaches that season during crucial parts of that season.
