Did Isiah Hicks not do a Sr. speech ?

Yeah, only Meeks and Nate did one. I was there and they announced something like "And now, to speak on behalf of the senior class, Nate Britt and Kennedy Meeks" so I wonder if they left it up to the players and they just wanted those two or something. Would have liked to hear from Stilman also since he is the last player that was there when I was a student. I did think it was a little weird, but I don't know the reason why they didn't all get to speak.

I get the sense that Hicks isn't a verbose guy. I don't know about Stilman or the fifth senior. I did see that they had a montage video with comments from all 5 where they didn't give out a lot of thank you's per se, but they did each talk about their 4 years in the program and what it meant to each of them.

Yeah, they might have felt like the video kind of covered it. I couldn't hear the video that well in there, need to find it online and watch

Hicks isn't a guy who is comfortable with public speaking all that much. It's not a complex but really isn't his thing. Roy sent him to operation basketball in the preseason though. Which was a surprise to the media because of Hicks reputation as being quiet when it come to these sort of things. Hicks for sure let his play be his Sr speech. 21 and 9 in 22 minutes and he played thru the foul trouble something he hasn't been able to do at all this year very well. I was more impressed by the fact he was productive with the fouls. I mean he had 2 fouls with 8:36 left in the 1st half. Hicks can foul out every game as long as he can give UNC 22-26 MPG like he did Saturday night. Maybe that is Roy's new message to him? If you foul out so be it.... But give the team as much high energy production as possible. If UNC is getting 16 points and 8 rebounds with 5 fouls in 25 MPG I think ROy can live with that from Hicks. Maye and Bradley coming on strong down the stretch I think gives Isaiah some confidence that even when in foul trouble just give it your all and your teammates will pick ya back up if needed.
