After much consideration, I want to announce that the Basketball Prediction Contest on TarheelIllustrated is being discontinued. I sincerely thank everyone who has participated and contributed to the fun and excitement over the past several years. I am especially grateful to AJ for allowing me to run the contest on TarheelIllustrated-your support has meant a great deal to me.

As I move forward, I will be dedicating 100% of my focus to launching Campus NIL in the coming months. It is important to clarify that Campus NIL’s primary mission is not sports-related. Our core focus is empowering college students financially through exclusive savings, profit-sharing, and cash credits on everyday purchases, leveraging collective student power and advertising revenue. The sports section, including future prediction contests and forums, is an added benefit designed specifically for our college subscribers to enhance their experience.

Campus NIL issues a free weekly newsletter, and I encourage you to sign up here to stay informed about our launch and learn how you can participate in future Prediction Contests. All student subscribers will receive a minimum of two years of benefits once the program is launched. If you know anyone who graduated from a college (including trade schools, community colleges, junior colleges, or four-year colleges) after December 2023, or who is currently attending college, please encourage them to subscribe to the Campus NIL newsletter to take advantage of these benefits.

Once Campus NIL is live, one of my primary goals will be to integrate with national sports sites like Rivals, ON3, and Inside Carolina, creating even more opportunities for connection and engagement across the college sports landscape. Thank you again for your support and stay tuned for what’s next.

Thanks Steat for carrying on the contest for so long. I appreciate all the work that it entailed. I’ve been making picks in some version of that contest on this site for a long time - going to miss it! Thanks for all you did with it Steat and good luck.

It was fun while it lasted and I enjoyed it and thank you for putting it on. What were the final standings of the last one? I think a lot of things are changing and the NCAA has totally f'd college "amateur" athletics and I think the interest in fan boards like this will eventually fade away as well. jmo

Really enjoyed the contest over the years! Congrats on your new endeavors!
Here are the results which I posted in another thread. The results are below which will be official tomorrow. I will continue to do pools, but not on this board. When my new site is introduced, I will have pools that will be much better, with final results announced immediately. You will be competing in some pools with college kids. You will hear more about it in a few months. I'm asking everyone to subscribe to my newsletter to stay informed: https://www.campusnil.com/
