Dave has mostly sucked since he came to the acc. His recent recruiting success is a product of a few things:
- UNC changing it’s in-State recruiting strategy
- AFAM scandal effects
- Other programs down
Despite having mutliple nfl QBs and tons of nfl talent, his best seasons have been 8 and 9 wins. They beat up on cupcakes to pad their record.
In short, Mack will send DD back to the trash

He will certainly make beating our instate rivals one of his priorities, that along with rebuilding relationships with high school coaches in NC, is how you dominate instate recruiting as we once did under Mack. He stressed the importance of this in his first PC.
May take a couple years, but yes. Mack will put a stop to Dodo peeling off recruits that UNC wants. Dodo is a fraud. They haven't beaten anyone with a pulse all year. Got ranked because of that 1AA schedule they played early.
Does that mean you advocate Mack back to Bevo Central? Or being an Illini fan stuck with Lovie Smith do you delight in risky hires made by others?
Plus, as Thigpen has never coached in the Big 12 nor recruited Texas, how would you know how hood he is as a recruiter? He is good, but not that good. For example, he was part of the staff under Chizik at Auburn, but he was not the hot dog star recruiter. That was Trooper Taylor. who was dirty as a cesspool - whose dirtiness, by the way, featured the state of Texas.
Plus #2- as Bly has never recruited anybody to any division of college football because he has never been a coach anywhere at any level, it is impossible to have any idea what he can do.
We'll see how this works out, the whole Mack thing. At best, Mack will have us on the winning side, and not just 7 wins, and then step down voluntarily well before he hits 75. At worst, this experiment could cost a good deal of time and increasing fan apathy.
Fedora should have owned doorknob but bad luck with our QBs post-MT due to losing 2 4-stars to transfers then endless injuries to our QBs.
Also Fedora made his own bed sticking with Kap at OC for 2 years. That was a damning mistake which showed he was clueless and/or not willing to adapt to changes.
Mack should own those clowns next year given our O depth, but I bet Doorknob is sending love letters to Jalen Hurts...

He just hired Lonnie Galloway .... hiring position coaches prior to coordinators means we will not get any proven coordinators.

Uh...he was Co-OC at louisville. He was hired for WR coach at UNC...we just landed 2 4-star WRs today, so you are clueless.
Like I said .... hiring all the position coaches does not give a proven coordinator much say in things .... IMO
Porter Rooks number recruit in the state for 2020 just committed to run with the Pack. Mack better get going.

A 4 star QB in NC aka Howell is ignoring the wolpfack football program but he is very interested in UNC.
