Was at a bar in west Alexandria this late afternoon / evening having a glass of wine . . some of the patrons were just kicking him around a bit.

They were saying how nice it was of him to go to Pittsburgh this afternoon and pay his respects to the fallen. Ya gotta love the guy, he's just the best any of us could ever wish for as being our leader of the US of A.

My great Pittsburgh brothers & sisters, you made me proud today . . ! May God Bless you all. What a fantastic turnout of anti-Trump protestors at a moment's notice . . I heard that you turned his motorcade around and made him feel unwanted.

May God Bless you all. Well done ladies & gentlemen. Please vote next Tuesday . . gracias.

So, here's my response to all of this. If Trump didn't show up to this event, he would have been lambasted by the media. Of course, when he does show up, he still gets lambasted. Stuff like this is why some of us, who really don't like Republican, completely detest the Democrats.
Yeah... I mean, I get that there's an abundance of dislike for Trump. I don't like him as a president. But, frankly, I don't think this event was the best time to stage a protest against him. This was a damned-if-don't/damned-if-you-do situation. Now, it's worth noting that his comments, attitudes, and overall behavior have made him loved by some and hated by others. I guess that's the case for any President. He's setting precedents, however.

I completely agree. He isn't an uniter by any means, but I don't even know if that's possible in this current political climate.

Nope... it's like people enjoy the polarization.

These 8-year administrations are making the pendulum swings so extreme. Clinton, then Bush, then Obama. And, they are all loaded with extreme drama.

I knew that the Obama administration freaked-out the conservatives, but I didn't know it was this bad. Now, it's swinging back in the other direction. I can only imagine the degree of the shift when they switch again.

The families of the victims made it pretty clear they didn’t want him there. I can’t really blame them.

His Vice President also just brought out a ‘Jews for Jesus’ fake rabbi to pray for them.

Obama wasn't as bad as people said, and Trump isn't as bad as people say. The only real issues I had with Obama were the wars he started, the ACA, the Paris Accord, and the re-upping of the Patriot Act which included a revitalization of the loss of Habeas Corpus. That's all pretty horrific, but it wasn't like GW was any better. To this point, Trump has been a revelation, but he has 2-6 years to make this situation a whole lot worse.

I was watching the Making Of A Murderer part 2 and they point-out how the Clinton administration helped gut Habeas Corpus even worse in 1996, I think it was, after McVey's OKC bombing. They made it impossible, almost. And, oddly enough, the then-Congressman Lindsey Graham voted AGAINST it!

Yeah, I'm not a fan of Lindsey Graham at all. I've always considered him John McCain's personal fluffer. The Clintons also exploded the prison population and signed NAFTA into law. The only reason people have anything positive to say about them is due to the tech bubble, and we all know how that turned out.

I just thought it was ironic how Graham voted against a Terrorist Act in 1996 and then has been all-in with fighting terrorism since 9/11. That 1996 legislation is a bitch.

Everybody ask Trump to wait until they could bury their dead then come but he was booked with rallies the rest of the week.

Yep . . some very fine folks up there in the Iron City. POTUS was told he should stay away and postpone his visit so that the focus yesterday would remain on the victims whose lives were taken from them by this POS Bowers. Rallies and attention is what he craves the most, he's just an actor that has to hear the applause . . he's a carnival barker that talks out of both ends.

Nobody is saying that this wasn't a travesty. That doesn't give people the right to act like spoiled children and try to turn this into a political event. All of these protesters are just standing on the graves of these poor dead people, just so they can get in a shot in at the president. It's pretty despicable if you ask me.

Well, it's a good thing nobody ask you because you couldn't be more wrong. You said it yourself, it was a travesty.

If anyone was trying to turn it into a political event, it was trump. He tried to show up when they made it clear they didn't want him there.

Of course, it was a travesty, eleven people were murdered. That doesn't change the rest of my post.
The eleven people killed was tragic, his visit was a travesty. Everybody asked him for time to bury their dead and to heal to some degree but Trump had other plans for the rest of the week (rallies) so to hell with them..

Isn’t it funny how it’s the protestors “turning it into a political event” not the uninvited politician who tried to show up for no reason other than political grandstanding...

With all due respect for the dead and their loved ones, they don't get to decide the President's schedule. If he felt it was important to be there, then that's what he felt.

But @NoleSoup4U nailed it. This is the angry left doing what they do best - leveraging any situation possible to show their ass.

Again, this is an absurd comment. The President's schedule does not change on the wishes of a few people. If that was the case, I would have asked Obama to take vacation the day after he was inaugurated and to not return.

The left was out there screaming about Trump not being down in the panhandle the day after Michael hit like he was supposed to be out there clearing trees or something. Nothing this guy does is acceptable to some people. He could usher in world peace and the left would be complaining that he hurt the bottom line of the Military Industrial Complex.

Ya, this one is bad, even for them.

If Trump doesn't show up...
Angry Mob: Trump hates Jews! Can't even bother to take some time out of his day to show some respect... probably golfing and eating McDonald's instead!

If Trump does show up...
Angry Mob: Look at this clown, trying to turn this into a political event where no one even wanted him in the first place!

I find it almost impossible to even remotely believe that 45 could usher in World Peace, he's been a divider even amongst his own party & our longtime loyal allies . . not gonna happen. He's nothing more than a me first cancer egging on and encouraging violence. Which is why he wasn't welcomed by the vast majority of the city of Pittsburgh, and they turned out in great masses to voice their disapproval of almost everything he says and does.

That wasn't meant to imply that I thought he would bring in world peace. It was just an example.

Angry Mob: Yo POTUS, we don't want your thoughts and prayers . . the folks that were murdered at your behest were already in the middle of THOUGHT & PRAYER.

"Murdered at your behest"? And you wonder why people are fed up with the left?

You understand that this guy hated Trump, right? It was all over his social media.

This is up there when the left accused Ben Shapiro of being a Nazi. I guess they didn't see his Yarmulke.
