Have you ever tried a really good port? Very satisfying after a big dinner. And do NOT get me started on Portuguese wine....
What is this wine you speak of, Mr. Fancy Man? They only let us unedumacated folk purchase beer and cigarettes at the package store.Have you ever tried a really good port? Very satisfying after a big dinner.
Hell, do you even like red wine?

Oh gracious, yes. I can't even afford a trip South down 75 to Vienna, Ga., there's no way I should be allowed to drink a beer from Vienna, Europe. And only domestic beer for you, Redneck.
Well, do you like wine? What is this wine you speak of, Mr. Fancy Man? They only let us unedumacated folk purchase beer and cigarettes at the package store.
It's fine. Would never spend more than $20 on a bottle, though.Well, do you like wine?
This saddens me. Great wine is amazingIt's fine. Would never spend more than $20 on a bottle, though.
Sorry to ruin your day, hoss. To each his own. This saddens me. Great wine is amazing
I’ll find a way to gather myself and push onSorry to ruin your day, hoss. To each his own.
All this is true. But true oenophiles can discern good wine easily. True sommeliers are amazing. Master Soms are on another level. Did you see Somm on Netflix? You can still get some pretty good bottles of wine for around $20.
A lot of the intricacies of more expensive wines are lost on non-connoisseurs. Also, plenty of people claim they can pick out more expensive wines but get proven otherwise in blind taste tests.
But yes, good wine is great.

Just fukkin withcha big dawg. No, haha - I can't tell a lot of the differences either so that's why I generally stick to more reasonably priced wines.
Watch Somm. Great DocI didn't see it, but could be interesting and worth a watch.
I don't yet have a very refined taste, but I've been doing my best to learn. Have been visiting a lot of wineries and have a couple friends who lead some wine tasting classes and whatnot, one of whom grew up on a vineyard in Napa.

I’ve started collecting in the last 2 years. It’s a lot of fun. We are building a cellar in the basement and I like watching the collection grow.I can't do wine. I tried. I really did. I went for the hoity-toity look. Didn't stick. What can I say, I'm a Busch Light/Natty Light kind of guy. Kind of hard to take pinot out on the river when I'm fishing.
If I have to drink wine, only white for me. I drink to be refreshed. Everything I drink is cold. That's also why I don't get coffee. Why would I want to sip on a hot drink for 30 minutes. I drink when I'm thirsty and if it doesn't quench thirst, then what's the point?
But I get the hobby of wine. I do. I think the whole wine making process is cool and I dig the horticulture part of it. I could see how it'd be fun to sit around and talk about that with other enthusiasts.
What's wrong with Duplin? Seems they have a pretty good business.I’ve started collecting in the last 2 years. It’s a lot of fun. We are building a cellar in the basement and I like watching the collection grow.
If you’ve never been, visit a winery or two (not Duplin). Winemakers are just farmers. Great people, especially the little guys. They grow a really fickle crop. If you like documentaries, check out ‘A Year in Burgundy’ for a look at wine making. It’s really neat

Lots of State fans, for starters. What's wrong with Duplin?
So should I not bring up how delicious Boone's Farms and Mad Dog 20/20 are?Lots of State fans, for starters.

Staying a weekend at Trump winery outside Charlottesville in February. Gonna be huge. Believe me.
If I'm not mistaken Duplin Winery is the largest and was the first winery in the state. The joke on it is that it produces wines that mostly grandmothers drink. What's wrong with Duplin? Seems they have a pretty good business.
Trump has a brand of wine? I never heard of it, which for a winery is a bad thing.Staying a weekend at Trump winery outside Charlottesville in February. Gonna be huge. Believe me.

My wife is a Grandmother so your point is?If I'm not mistaken Duplin Winery is the largest and was the first winery in the state. The joke on it is that it produces wines that mostly grandmothers drink.
Most of the Virginia wine sucks but it’s always fun to visit a nice winery. His winery isn't...which is all I care about. I'll have some Busch Light on ice in the room.
Looks cool. Mind if I tag along?
Enjoy! My wife is a Grandmother so your point is?
Nothing is wrong with Duplin but all of their wines are sweet and most wine people who have been doing it very long prefer a dry wine. What's wrong with Duplin? Seems they have a pretty good business.
