Grayson Allen I feel singlehandedly lost them that game. Ignore his scoring. Missed a late free throw. Gave the ball away twice with a steal and a charge. Plus was 4-14 from 3.

Their bigs are virtual impossible to stop. 2 maybe 3 lottery picks. Maybe even 4. I thought they had turned the corner but their lack of focus is impressive. And how the refs put up with K astonishing me.
Duval just isn’t very good at running the point. Their spacing isn’t very good with both big men in.
Can they play that zone against us? I heard Theo was looking for a new career high
And with Bagley we struggle yet again and Grayson is trash. He's shooting 35% FG and 25% 3PT with Bagley in ACC play.

I agree that their spacing doesn't seem to be all that great with both Carter and Bagley on the floor. However, I really think a lot of what makes this dook team go is Allen. If the guy is on, they're almost impossible to beat. If he messes up and makes mistakes a senior shouldn't make, they're another early upset waiting to happen.

And VT didn't play all that well. Same old story .. rats been playing his usual short rotation and his 3pt shooters are once again losing their legs. To beat dook all you have to do is RUN RUN RUN AND ATTACK THE RACK .. where have I heard that before ?? They already tired before the tip and the more you make 'em run the the worse the outside shot becomes and the slower the zone moves giving more opportunities to attack the seams, and the more they play defense with their arms the more fouls (depending on the zebras) on their bigs. Looking forward to it .. GO HEELS !!!!!!
The entire team wet the bed, they shot horribly, and it still took a buzzer beater for them to lose to a team thats now beat us, UVa and now Dook, on the road. As much as I wanna watch them fall flat on their face I’m not writing this team off yet at all. They need 3 guys to play well to beat everyone and thats it. I really dont know how players can play for K though with his short leashes, tendancy to change starting lineups and how quickly he throws guys in the dog house. Would drive me nuts as a player and would keep me from playing loose and able to get in a rhythm
Seeing Tripper complain about every call the refs make, once again makes me thankful to have Joel Berry and Theo Pinson. Two great young men who go about their business with the upmost respect for everyone around them and truly represent Carolina in such a great way and one that you know makes you as a fan extremely proud. We have been blessed by those two and should enjoy every last moment that we are able to see them suit up in Carolina Blue, they truly are two of the great ones.
I agree that they’re still a very dangerous team because this is a year where it’s so wide open as to who can cut down the nets, there is not one team that has been consistently dominant with the exception of UVA but that dominance only applies to one end of the court. UVA has the advantage of being able to play amazing D every single game, regardless of the opponent. However, logic dictates that their lack of O and a hot opponent will spell the usual danger for them.
As for Duke, too much talent not to be dangerous but terrible lack of chemistry, no real PG, Allen does not look like the leader they need, lots of disinterested faces and no real bench.

As stated above the zone they play slows then down and their whole pace/defensive pressure. At the half, greenberg made the point they should only play ONE big man at a time as Bagley s a defensive liability. Man they DO have some bigs.... FOUR of them they could rotate and win it all. BUT......... Vader is a stubborn old cuss. They should shoot very well against us but I aint skeered ...... lets win tomorrow night and then worry about the evil empire.

K in his presser complaining they are a tired team. BULL CRAP! They just played Syracuse who doesn't know what pushing the pace is and Duke played slow ball against VT. K throws Duval under bus in presser for missing FT. He's probably like Calipari, hoping all of his oAD's hit the draft. Poor execution by Duke and K trying to influence refs along with poor coaching equals big loss. Oh BTW K, ya'll didn't play 3 games in 5 days, so to you, a big shut the heck up.

Exactly. The LOM always has some excuse for losing and it never involves poor coaching on his part. He is the definition of a bad sport, pointing the finger of blame at everyone but himself. I truly believe he is losing his mind as his career winds down.
BTW, they are losing their minds over on DI. It's fun to watch.

Rumor has it that Hagans reclasiified to join Duke for the NCAA tourney. Working to complete 12 self-study courses right now. Should be all set to go in a week.
at the buzzer what would have been the game winning shot by allen missed badly. instead of going up straight for a good shot he leaned into the defender trying to get the foul call. the senior has learned well from his coach -- constantly work the refs tactic #1.
What Archer2 said above, great example by the LOM on sportsmanship. Throw another clipboard, rage against the referees ALL game long. "We're tired". Uh huh, sure thing.
I hope he realizes who has contributed to that with his short use of his bench.
He played Allen all 40 minutes, Bagley 36 & Trent 37 . . . maybe, he shouldn't be running his players into the ground. In Saturday's game, he played Allen 38 minutes in a game that they led by 11 at half, and won by 16 . . Allen shot poorly last night and had 6 turnovers.
KRat cries about the calls that don't go his way all the time. More of those calls will go against him and his team when on the road, as homer calls are just a part of the game and likely always will be.
He’s running his team into the ground by refusing to play his potentially great depth more. If they’re tired, it’s on him. What a POS!

I'm sure when their second round opponent is the 6 place team from the AAC, they will manage to pull the game out in the waning seconds.
right now bracketology has UNC as a 2 and Arizona St as a 7 in our bracket. Knowing the NCAA, wouldnt surprise me at all if Dook and ASU are matched up in the 2nd round. Would be even funnier if Bobby Hurley and "Guard U" (by far the worst gimmick in sports this year) took down Dook
