I'm using Pomeroy's version of Quad ratings simply because they're easier. When I've checked, they match up well enough for government work.

At a glance, Clemson has the easiest path ahead. Lunardi has them at a #8 seed before last night's game. Lazy bum hasn't updated his brackets for a couple of days. With only 3 "hard" games left, I imagine they'll move up.

In the past when I've looked at this, it's always seemed that Virginia had the easiest home stretch among the contenders. But this time it's clearly Clemson - with us arguably next easiest.

Duke probably has it worst - with both more games left and more hard games ahead.

State may be even worse off than Duke, though, because they aren't as good and all of their hard games are A-rated.

I'm sure we all feel sorry for Duke and State.

Then again, doing well against such hard schedules could greatly benefit those teams.

After being rated #2 in the ACC preseason, Miami has a tough road just to get into the NCAAT.

Wake has to play Duke twice, UVa at UVa, and they finish at home against Clemson. Nevertheless, they have a chance of making the NCAAT, too.

I think the ACC gets 5 teams - UNC, dook, UVa, Clemson and Wake.

UVa is playing the best ball in the conference right now, really dreading the game there and wish we had them at home. The only good thing from last night is if it puts another team in the dance and makes the conference look better. I still think dook has the most talent in the league and Wake is not too far behind, the talent just does not seem to mesh into a dominant team.

Agreed, between 3 and 5. The stretch will determine it. 3 solid with Virginia and Wake bubblelicous with work to do do. The others would need a crazy strong finish to get into position.
