here's a game that told me we had a coach to reckon with in Roy Williams. It wasn't the championship the season before, it was taking this team full of embryos and doing something with what was supposed to be a pathetic year.

This is coaching vs. starpower. In this game you see good but mostly unsung players following the coaching and playing within the system, and to me that's more satisfying then watching the studs do their thing. I'll take either or both, of course, but I've always said that Dean's best teams were the ones just before he started collecting star power recruits, and for the same reason given in the first paragraph.

This game also had one of my favorite plays. Go to 1:11:00 and see David Noel leave a couple of Kentucky players looking for their jocks.
