Duke early entries

I've seen nothing official . . . there are reports that they are both shopping agents, so it seems that is where they are both headed.

I am sure I have missed it but besides okafor who else is entering draft from Duke?
Cook, but he was a senior anyway.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Jones and Winslow are back in dook blew next season.

I don't know jones personal schedule but he was in Minnesota yesterday throwing out the first pitch for the twins with KG.

The only one I really want to go is Jones!

All the other guys are guardable or have exploitable deficiencies, but Jones is scary good.

Mr.Jones, I hear the life of a millionaire is fun!

Heels are Family!

Winslow scares the bejesus out of me.

Oh, so I take it that he is not in class. :)

Definitely would rather have Jones go than Winslow. Mainly because Dook won't have a PG in this scenario.

I had read some recruiting guru who recently wrote that Winslow's decision would have a major impact on Ingram and his choice

I think that this means Ingram will wind up in Derm playing for Vader, sad to think but I believe that will happen

Rumor is Jones will announce he is leaving within the next couple days...I am expecting this in the next 48hrs.

Key, I think it might be the opposite with Ingram. Sounded like the rat was selling Ingram on how good him and Winslow could be on the wing together. Ingram also said he wants to see what Jones does, why would he care what Jones does if it's all about PT? I think the kid wants to win, not just be the man...

Just read it on 247.......................Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssss. But I guess an NC was worth it.

Wow! dook got a lot of scholies open. 4 of seven rotation gone and 3 commits for next year(If memory serves me) , none of which seem to be Okafor/Jones type talents

Rat is trying to lure Derryck Thorton and have him re class to 2015

Duke folks are saying Grayson and Kennard can run the point. I love that option...for us.

I suspect K doesn't love that option and will definitely try to get some kind of help.

If K get Thornton does this rule out Dennis Smith to Duke?

Someone needs to get in Grayson Allen's ear and tell him to go pro. Betcha he would be a late first round pick.

Possibly. K is trying to convince Smith that he can play like Quinn Cook did, but I think Smith really wants to be a PG.

And Allen's already said he's coming back. He'll start next year and probably lead the team in scoring while raising his stock, he has no reason to leave. Frankly, anybody who drafts him in the first round based on one game is an idiot and shouldn't be running an NBA franchise.

And Lousville was actually the team that brought up reclassifying with the Thorntons. They were receptive to the idea so K is trying, too.

Oddly, Derryck's dad supposedly wants him to reclassify and redshirt. Doesn't make much sense to me.

Agreed.

Granted, it was one BIG game. But it was only one game. Some duke folks are all jacked up about Grayson next year because of that game. But let's be honest. Half of his shots rolled around on the iron and fortunately dropped in. He also used his off arm every time he drove to the basket. If just a couple of those roll out and not in and he gets a foul or two called on him for using that off arm, then duke fans are saying, "Grayson sure was a disappointment this year". Granted, he was aggressive and that was big, but it's funny what a few fortuitous bounces will do to an entire fanbase.

I think people need to temper their excitement about Allen next year. I will be shocked if he even makes second team All-Acc next year.

Tra, Grayson had more than one good game. The kid is explosive. Reminds me of Rex Chapman of Kentucky. Only takes one GM to promise him to go in the first round and he may say bye bye. Heck, I hope Plumlee leaves and goes to the Army before next season. I really don't care who K convinces to come in early to play the point, Tyus Jones is lethal and the kid could have led you to another title. No one in the NCAA is sad to see Tyus leave.

MY GOODNESS. Do we know how to overreact here or what?

Jones is a very good player. I wouldn't even have a problem with someone thinking he was the best PG in the nation last year even though I wouldn't agree. But let's be real here...he doesn't get the chance to make big plays in a lot of those games if not for Okafor and Winslow. Hell, Okafor simply being on the court made life a lot easier for Jones. I'm not taking away from Jones as a player because like I said, he was really good. But Steph Curry isn't leading duke to a title next year with Grayson Allen, Matt Jones and Amile Jefferson as his running mates. Get real.

I'll admit that winning another title would be somewhat overboard. There is often some sarcasm in my posts when dealing with Duke fans. On the other hand, Jones and Allen starting backcourt IMO would still be one of the best in the country. Jones on the college level would still be the best point guard in the the country and that should not be up for debate. The kid dominates games just like Ty Lawson. Sometimes you have to give credit to teams even though you hate their guts. Duke would be a top10-15 team with Jones and again that should not be debateable because all the national rating services were saying that. One thing Duke has are shooters and with Kennard coming in he shoots the lights out also. When you have the best point guard in the country you can never be counted out. Top ten with Jones back, not unrealistic. Not one UNC fan can honestly tell you they are sad to see him go.
