I'm currently a Duke student but am visiting my sick friend who might not make it at Elon. I was kicked off the Devils Illustrated board because they claimed I'm not a Duke student since I have been posting from Elon the past few weeks while I'm on leave during this difficult time period. Their moderator is completely asinine as he revealed my location to the whole board as a way to team up on me. I thought I was going to join a board full of CBB and Duke talk but quickly realized I was wrong - they have some real asses on there and are brainwashed by Duke. Hopefully you guys on here are more compassionate and nicer human beings.

Anyways, since the Duke fans didn't want me there and berated me for posting, I thought I would maybe chime in on some topics. I also got ridiculed for defending UNC when guys on the Duke board made "no class jokes" or were flaming Theo Pinson for being average basketball player and no chance at the NBA. I obviously like Duke but have respect for UNC and feel as if I'm objective about both teams.

Hopefully y'all will allow me to post on here and make some contributions. I'm friends with a few guys on the Duke team so can share some insights when applicable.

Good luck the rest of the season (not next Saturday though lol!). I really enjoy watching you guys play with your upper classmen leading the way - wish Duke had some of those and would stop with the one year mercenaries.

Yep - really disappointing honestly. That board is full of asses. The whole #brotherhood thing is complete shit. It's one year mercenaries who come to Duke and care about getting their draft stock up, with a few exceptions. A brotherhood is forming a kinship through many years and accomplishing a singular goal, such as Joel Berry and Theo Pinson. Even them as people on campus are so vain, such as Duval.

The Devils have an immensely talented team, one of the most talented teams I've ever seen. If they could ever mesh and play as a unit, they would be virtually unbeatable. As a Heels fan, I hope they don't. Still, they're very good just because they're so very talented.

Yep - you're spot on. Most talented team in the country but can't play together. Grayson is a no show when Bagley plays. Grayson takes the team as far as he goes and so far doesn't look like very far. Again, I wish we had the upperclassman like we used to instead of the one year mercenaries

Meh - not at all to that extent. Coach K and the players can do no wrong in their eyes. I am objective about it and can point out the issues or flaws but if I do, I get berated for it lol

As a Duke fan I can admit that the success with the one and dones hasn't been all that great. 2015 was a perfect storm with Cook as a leader. Other than that, underachieving every year

For most i agree yeah. He gets a ton of points just off lobs and offensive rebounds because of his length - doesn't make that many moves and often travels with his drop step. I think Bonzie Colson is better but unfortunately he's been hurt this year

He’s 5-8 FG this far tonight. And 4 of those shots were open dunks or put backs. Which means he has shot the ball “on his own” 4 times the entire game.

Really sad; coach k has no idea of how to use a big man like Bagley that's why he becomes a black hole, and bogs down the offense. K wants the 4 guards to keep moving spread you out drive, kick, shoot the three; if the ball goes inside by some miracle he wants it immediately kicked out. He is in uncharted waters with Carter and Bagley and it shows.

I am as loyal as any fan to Roy but I do find some of their posters blind faith in K verging on comical/scary. Every problem they have will inevitably result in multiple posters saying something to the effect of “the GOAT will figure it out”. K can do no wrong in many of their eyes but it’s to an extreme degree.
