I just finished reading what Jay Bilas felt about the throwing of objects at Carolina players and in a nutshell he said that there are cameras all over Cameron and that it would be easy to identify the people who threw the objects and they should be banned from attending games from 6 months to a year. He also continued by saying that this is a bad look for Duke if they do not do anything…

I generally think Jay Bilas is a stand up objective guy. I agree with him on most of his takes and he and schulman are as good as it gets for enjoyable announcers. Is not about to stay silent if Duke does something wrong / to tarnish the program. Students or coaches or player-dbag-trippers

Go back and look at the rivalry almost every year over the years. At least this much taunting by either side after a big road win when teams were both relevant.

That was the initial announcement but it was apparently indefinitely not for 6 months. However, it was rescinded this morning and all is good.

it doesn't bother me much that they threw some empty plastic bottles and cups and water and ice at us. As a matter of fact, I'm shickled titless that we got under their skin that much. Seeing them all riled up like that instead of them taunting like 12 year-olds, was pretty damn gratifying. How could that not be worth a little moisture?

Normally I'd never want to see our guys taunt another fan base.. However after the crap we heard that was directed at RJ during warmups, and the degrading stuff that is yelled at our players and coaches for 2 hours, I don't have a problem with what they did. For that matter, all I could see was mostly waving bye to them. It was nowhere near the in-your-face taunting that the guy from Pitt did.
Regardless, if they wanna dish it out, then they better be prepared to take it when it's directed back at them.

I don't need help, especially from you. That fact is, if UNC didn't taunt, nothing gets thrown at them. Essentially, they brought it on themselves, which they didn't seem to care. There's a difference in celebrating, and taunting. And taunting, is not the Carolina way.
I think that at this point, the 'Carolina Way' is about as subjective and subject to individual interpretation as it gets. Furthermore, I'm not so sure that the entire concept wasn't encapsulated in a time frame that while fond to remember, is no longer relevant. The time frame that is, not the concept. In other words, what the 'Carolina Way' means to you at this point may not be what it means to me.
For my part, I was surprised by the taunting but not necessarily displeased by it. I know we usually want to try to exhibit class, but if this bunch or any other bunch feeds on giving those a-hole dookies a little of their own medicine, I'm not opposed to it. They did nothing crude or otherwise objectionable, and putting fuel on the fire just makes the rivalry more enjoyable.
All that being said, they DID bring the reaction on themselves, and like you I suspect they either didn't care or, like me, actually got a kick out of them getting that riled up.
