CAROLINA NOTES

• The Tar Heels are now 21-5 overall, 10-3 in the ACC and 13-1 at home this season.

• Carolina returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 20, at 1 p.m. against 10th-ranked Miami. The game will be televised by CBS.

• The Tar Heels made one three-point field goal, tying the season low for made threes (also vs. Wofford).

• Carolina was 1 for 13 from three-point range, a percentage of .077 which is the third-lowest in school history and the lowest since shooting .071 vs. Duke on March 9, 2013.


PLAYER NOTES

Brice Johnsonled both teams with 29 points and 19 rebounds. Those are his second-most points and rebounds in his career (39 points and 23 rebounds at Florida State on 1/4/16).

• It was Johnson’s fourth 20-point, 10-rebound game of the season.

• Johnson made 13 of 17 shots from the floor. The 13 field goals also are his second-highest in a game (14 at FSU).

• Johnson had 18 points and 11 rebounds in the first half. That was his first double-double in a half since he accomplished that in both halves at Florida State.

• Johnson passed Dennis Wuycik for 30th place in UNC scoring. Johnson has 1,477 points; Wuycik had 1,469.

• Johnson passed John Henson in career rebounds for 11th place in school history. Johnson has 889, four more than Henson and one less than Ademola Okulaja for 10th place.

• Justin Jackson was the only other Tar Heel in double figures with 13 points. It was Jackson’s fourth double-figure performance in the last five games.

• Jackson tied his career high with six offensive rebounds (also vs. Northwestern).
