Post when they announce. Let's try to keep it to one thread.

Ben Simmons and Dunn have hired agents.

Not sure any of these guys have hired agents yet...

Cat Barber - NC State
Malik Beasley - Florida State
Jaron Blossomgame - Clemson
Kareem Canty - Auburn
Brandon Ingram - Duke (per Laura Keeley)
Que Johnson - Washington State
Dedric Lawson - Memphis
Makai Mason - Yale
Malik Newman - Miss State
Chinanu Onuaku - Louisville
Isaiah Whitehead - Seton Hall

I realize Ben Simmons is the consensus number 1 pick but I have seen about 5 games of his this year and am not that impressed. Yes, he is a very good player and will most likely have a good career in the NBA but I just don't see him as the best available or the best long term prospect either. What am I missing?

I think with his skill set, he needs to be around better players.

He doesn't have a jumper but Kahwi from the spurs shot 20% from three in college. Now he has a lethal jumper. So that weakness can be fix.

Is vanilla whip&trip declaring? I don't see him as an NBA success any more than someone like Tyus Jones but the sooner he moves on from college bb the better for fans and other players

I would guess that Grayson leaves, but there's quite a few people that think he sticks around next year with the chance to win another natty. He's projected as a late first-rounder.

There are still so many players that Vanilla Whip hasn't been able to "apply" his talents to, so I could see why he would want to return.....

He has attitude issues. Some are thinking he just didn't care this season to try.

But with his "unique skill set", imagine his value to a team in the NBA. Need the star player on the opposing team to have an "ankle problem", put in Allen to "guard" the star player for 2 minutes. .

I would imagine Trip Whiplash leaves as well because I don't see that late first round grade changing even with another year or two of college. However, he could stick around if he really enjoys college. He seems to have really embraced all that K stands for, highlighted by his many incidents this year, so he could return to continue that...umm... Legacy.

Cats size-quickness make him a very desirable NBA guard, be surprised if he returned.

Cat is definitely making the right call by leaving imo. His numbers will have to dip next year because he and Dennis Smith can't hold the ball at the same time. His stock is as high as it's gonna get. I also don't see State having a season in the top 5 in the ACC or anything like that, so there's nothing really on that angle that means he should return either.

Also, I saw that Ben Bentil from Providence is entering, but won't hire an agent, so he can return.

I'm one of the few who thinks cat should return to play with Dennis.

I would have to take him as my #1 pick if I am being honest, that is an amazing skill set for a kid that tall. Yes, he has to work on skill development and especially jump shooting out to 3pt land, I think he needs to get in to much better shape physically. But 6'9" with guard like skills and NBA ready body now that will do nothing but get better as he adds weight room work, yeah, he is special more than any other player in this class. I think other than jump shooting his skills impress me more than Ingram and has a more NBA ready body today and I think they both have a heck of a lot more development will bring out in them.

Hard to see how he improves his draft status by playing another year with a team that will be more front line focused and better backed up at point. He should go unless he just likes to be there.

Coach K will talked him into staying. Especially if unc wins a championship this year.
That is the Coach K from a few years ago, nowadays K is more about getting players quickly into the NBA so he can get the next batch of OAD players. I can imagine he will sell the elites that even if they dont play much in year one they can be the next Allen and blow up as a sophomore, and go to the NBA.

Yeah but in the NBA he will get his ass kicked for tripping folks and not just a technical.... LMAO!!!!:D

Regardless, whenever he goes he will get hit with a massive hard foul on his first drive to basket. The rival player will whisper in his ear "Welcome to the NBA"....

Paper Tiger will return (imo). He is not ready and he is so not ready (will he ever be ready?) in my view. Dooook lives (for now...

He looks like a true natural. But does he have the motor?

I only watched parts of a few of LSU's games, but he rarely seemed to go full out. Didn't lag and didn't have a bad attitude, and did what he should - so I can't really complain about him - but there was an element of coasting, too.

That said, I'd draft him in the top 5 for sure. Not positive I'd take him with the #1 pick, but who would you take over him? I was more impressed with Ingram than I expected to be. So he'd be in the running.

Guys like Hield and Dunn are safe bets, but how much more upside do they have?

I never saw Jaylen Brown play. Or Rabb. Are either of them worth considering ahead of Simmons or Ingram?

I have a feeling Jamal Murray will be very good at the next level but, again, would you put him that high?

So . . . to me it probably comes down to Simmons or Ingram. Probably can't go wrong with either. If they fit your team needs, great. If not, they are great trade bait.
