Early season tournaments

Some really good games. Creighton/Arkansas was a big time game. Michigan State has been in a couple big time dog fights, as have others. We get our first go at those type matchups this week.

Grady Dick has been a BOSS as a freshman already for Kansas in all of these. He is cookin' NC State (18 at the half) today, but State is hangin' with them somewhat.

Indeed Dick was outstanding the first half, but disappeared in the second half. State put forth a good effort, only losing by 6 points. If they could finish better at the rim, shoot free throws, and make some 3 point shots, Kansas would be in the loser bracket.

Solid showing by State, I never got the feeling they were going to pull it out though. I've been impressed with Grady in all of these early games, stepped onto the scene ready to go at a high level.

State and Keatts had an officiating crew that looked as suspect as Bill himSelf.
They killed the Pack with the non-calls on KU.

What I would suggest is watching Arizona. Lloyd has them playing the game the way we USED to... and hopefully will again in the not-too-distant future,

I only caught a bit of them before the Creighton game which I saw all off. Another really good game.
