I think that Williams is going to see the field this year - versus SoCar. Morris will be 4th team unless we have injury.
I was a little disappointed that David Hale didn't mention our offensive line issues, and tweeted as such at him. We had five future NFLers on the 2012 team. Three of them were drafted in 2013 and the other two were drafted in 2014.
The last couple years have been an exercise in rebuilding talent and depth. This is why I groaned at people's predictions the last two years. We're still not there, which is why 10-win predictions are unrealistic as well IMO. We should be much better, though. It has been painful to see the talent in the backfield squandered the last two seasons.
From the practice videos I've seen, Ty'Son sure LOOKS the part. He looks like a bruiser that still has ample speed. A certain premium poster (who likes to form unwavering opinions, good or bad, on players) has been saying not to get our hopes up on TW, but I disagree. Dude looks like a beast ready to burst out of his cage.It sounds like he's really impressed everyone. I'd like to see Fed utilize the split backs more often in 2015 considering how much depth we have at RB.
I thought for sure TW would redshirt if Francis had fully rehabbed from his ACL injury. Well Francis is back and the staff shows no signs of holding out TW. After seeing some of his video, I can understand why.
There have been some references to Logan getting time split out. Also, like @uncboy10 said, I expect to see more two-back sets. Bottom line is we have tons of playmakers and this offense is designed to get the ball in their hands. Should be interesting to see how Littrell and Fedora handle the situation.
i like your post and agree with it, except i think our schedule is harder than people realize. scar, ga tech, va tech, and pittsburg will all be tougher than people expect. i'm optimistic but a seven win season would not shock me.It should indeed be interesting.
In a nutshell, I think the season boils down to this. If our OL is solid, we will score a bunch of points. I fully expect our defense to be more fundamentally sound and that will be sufficient for us to win a lot of games. We have a relatively easy schedule that should work to our advantage as well.
Pick your reason, but there was undeniably a schism within the team last year. Eliminate that and we should be in good shape to contend for our division. Take it one game at a time, because we can't afford to overlook anybody, and kick-start the season with a win over l'il Carolina.
Look at SCar's schedule or GT's schedule, and then tell me our schedule is "tougher than people expect." Time to stop making excuses for this program....we are in the easier division, in an easier conference, in a state chock full of high school talent. We should be a perennial Top 20 team. Not picking on you Jimmy, I'm just talking in generalities.i like your post and agree with it, except i think our schedule is harder than people realize. scar, ga tech, va tech, and pittsburg will all be tougher than people expect. i'm optimistic but a seven win season would not shock me.
as a long term general goal for our program i'm with you 100%. but i'm talking about short term reality, this season.Look at SCar's schedule or GT's schedule, and then tell me our schedule is "tougher than people expect." at this point strength of schedule is a preseason prediction. in december strength of schedule ratings will be based on how the teams on our schedule have actually performed. we'll see, but right now it's opinion, and my opinion is our schedule is harder than most people think. i'm not saying it's sec level of difficulty, but there are plenty of tough games for where the carolina program is at right now.I've gotta agree with THN here. This schedule is softer than a mouse pissing on cotton.
