It's talking about the programs, not specific coaches. Mack is pictured because he is the current coach. We're listed in tier 4 out of six. Just repeats all the stuff that's normally said. Great area, has produced talent, etc.

The article was very well written (wink wink). It included BUTCH JONES among our last three coaches. SERIOUSLY, he (Adam Rittenberg, ESPN Senior Writer) had BUTCH JONES. It has since been edited and corrected to Butch Davis. But, C'mon Man!

The article also lumped UNC and NC State in the group of Tier IV Underachievers. (which would put us at #8 and state at #9)

I wish people could come up with something original when they write about it, though. It's just always your standard they have everything you need, sleeping giant, surprised it has happened, blah, blah, blah.

Agreed, but we’ve played that role so well that we’re typecast as underachievers. I never expect us to be anything but mediocre, l continue to hope though.

it absolutely frustrates and infuriates me that we haven't lived even nearly up to our potential. We could, if some cared enough. When I hear someone say 'well, we're just a basketball school', I want to punch him in the nads.
