Many times after a loss I see on here folks that act surprised or are mad. I understand that, but it was inevitable with this matchup. UNC will ALWAYS struggle with this type team. Coach K could not beat Dean matching up with a traditional line up like Dean always had with two bigs, a tall 3 man, a defensive stopper, and a PG.....so he did the smart thing and surrounded the 3 point line with shooters and had only one big man.....the result? Drive past the bigger guy and kick out for the three....UNC will always struggle with A line up like that.....now Texas is not quite fully made up that way, but basically they were a big and 4 shooters. Lammert is a 3 point shooting 4. UNC can't stay in front of them and they torch us with drive and dish out for three. When they make them, we lose.....when they don't, we win.....because that's what Dean and Roy's defense is based upon....make them take the tougher shot....nothing helps a teams three point shooting percentage as to play UNC....it just is what it is....it took 50% from three to beat us....that will beat a lot of folks.....as a UNC fan you have to accept that....other coaches won't give you the three, but they are pounded on the inside. It's about personell and which way you think is best. People kill Brice and Meeks for their defense, but you have to remember the match up and what the coaches are asking them to do...every defense has a weakness and ours is the three.
