Extremely quick stuff (Wake game)...

Watched this one.... wish i hadn't.

I believe there is growing disharmony on the team - as you would expect when the wheels begin to fall off so early. A couple of instances of hero ball in the second half, Seth ignoring open players on the perimeter two plays in a row.... even EC seeming like he ignored a play call from Hubert.....

RJ is not himself, he was virtually non-existent for a 5min stretch on offence in the last quarter of the game, and then hits a wild three to end the game when the pressure is off..... that tells me he has the yips big time.... struggling to hit when he has to, does it easily when its not needed.

I am also starting to think the coaching staff are doing the right thing, biting their lips, but quietly knowing Hubert is in over his head. Just a bit of body language (i may be misinterpreting, but it seems that way to me)

I hate the Heels to lose, and am not cheering for them to, but change must occur.
Yeah Seth missed Ian several times for open threes the last 4-5 minutes. Don't think we scored on any of those possessions either.

Seth doesn’t seem right. Not since his “injury”, the validity of which I’m now questioning. I don’t think he liked losing his starting position. He’s not playing with the same gusto he was earlier in the year. And over the past few games, I’ve noticed RJ looking Ian off too. I initially thought RJ didn’t like having his alpha status slipping away to Ian. But maybe Ian is the problem? Who knows? It’s just more evidence of a lockerroom run amok and no one stepping in to fix it. There are no leaders on this team and Hubert is apparently tuned out on it.

In short, it’s a disaster.

Agreed… not dumpster fire level mess, but close enough.

I’m hoping the ‘ish’ stays in house and bubba/hubert make the hard call and begin the quiet coaching search sooner rather than later - maybe even give Hubert a chance at a strong admin role away from the sidelines.

Worst case will be when parents begin venting through social media and internal issues become external issues…. That’s when the dumpster really comes alight.

Considering that Seth almost transferred already, it would seem reasonable that he may consider it again after the season. I’m sure he’s not happy about the demotion even though starting Ian is the right move.

From the very beginning, I questioned whether Hubert was too nice to command respect in the locker room. He comes off like an uncle that everybody likes and a friend to the players, but do the players respect him as an authority figure and does he hold them accountable?

It is great if players love the coaches. It is imperative that they respect and yes, even fear them a bit.
