With Carolina's road game at Illinois in September, and that Larry Fedora's 8 seasons as a head football coach has been with programs from the South, we decided to check to see how many times he's taken a team above the Mason-Dixon Line.
Interestingly, with the ACC's recent expansion and deal with Notre Dame has added some northern trips to the Tar Heels' schedules the last few seasons.
In all, 99 of the 105 games Fedora has coached have been below the Mason-Dixon Line, six have been either above it or outside the Line's parameters. Here is the state-by-state breakdown:
