Larry Fedora met with the media Tuesday to discuss the bowl game and other things, among them was his vacancy at offensive coordinator. Asked if there's a timeline he wants to follow on when to make a hire, the coach replied, "I have not made a decision on when I'm going to do it. I don't feel like I am stressed for time in this situation. One, it's not going to change what we do in the bowl game, two, it's not really going to change recruiting because the kids out there know we're going to run our offense. So, it's not like they have to worry about who's going to come in here and how the offense is going to change because it's not going to change.

"It's really more about making sure we get the right person and the right fit and the right chemistry for our staff."

Fedora noted that with the program's success this year he's received a great deal of interest in the job. It also helps that the last two coordinators left to become head coaches.

"There's a lot of people that are very interested," he said. "The last two guys came in here and became head coaches, so I think they think they're going to walk in here and become a head coach. And I think because our offense has a great track record, not only here but every place we've been, they see it as an offense they would like to learn what we do. If I was a coach outside of it I would want to.,,

"The response has really been unbelievable, overwhelming, actually."
