I'd say that of the 3 named as potential replacements for Ferranto, Hatton has the most upside. We all expect him to start at C next year and perhaps end his career with more accolades Crowley, whose career has been more than solid. And it is possible that Hatton starting at RG for a season will make him much better prepared to lead the OL at C next year.
But I think the staff goes with Henson, at least for 2 or 3 games, to ease both Hatton and Polino into significant PT. Barring injury, both of those guys are going to start in 2017, so we need each playing good minutes this year. But starting from day 1 as a redshirt freshman? Against UGA in Atlanta?
