Ferranto out for season

Hate this but if it's 1 group we could lose somebody it's the OL...I hope he can get a Medical RS and come back next year...
I agree with both. I think Ferranto would have started ahead of Henson, but Henson can do the job. And we have other young guys on the OL who can step up. He should get the medical redshirt.

I'd say that of the 3 named as potential replacements for Ferranto, Hatton has the most upside. We all expect him to start at C next year and perhaps end his career with more accolades Crowley, whose career has been more than solid. And it is possible that Hatton starting at RG for a season will make him much better prepared to lead the OL at C next year.

But I think the staff goes with Henson, at least for 2 or 3 games, to ease both Hatton and Polino into significant PT. Barring injury, both of those guys are going to start in 2017, so we need each playing good minutes this year. But starting from day 1 as a redshirt freshman? Against UGA in Atlanta?

Put your best 5 out there. Slide Big Willy Sweets over and let him do work.

What about Mason Veal...Big kid out of high school or is he more of a tackle....

Sweet is a tackle and Veal was listed as 3rd string. I think we will go with Polino.

If we didn't have talent at reserve G, that might be the best move. But we are going to need at least 1 top reserve OT this year, to rest Spain and Heck. Sweet may be ready to be that 1st rate reserve OT who can play both Right and Left.
