Yep but it's just too dang hard to schedule this close to the season. That's an industry problem, not a UNC problem.http://espn.go.com/college-football...a-crimson-tide-lead-2016-way-too-early-top-25
UNC is #17 in the "way too early top 25" from ESPN for 2016. They make a point to mention that we'll play two FCS teams again next year. Wish we could switch out The Citadel for some equally bad FBS team so we can get praised for playing a cupcake as opposed to chastised for it.
Yep, and that's because people are too lazy to do their own research and just follow the groupthink of the popular narrative. It's no different than people's homogenized views on music, politics, etc etc.NDSU would indeed be a tough game. JMU and The Citadel went 9-3 and 9-4 last year respectively, compared to a team like UCF who went 0-12 (which included losses to 2 FCS teams I believe). Yet next year when discussing strength of schedule people will be hollering "2 FCS teams?!?! Cupcake schedule!" whereas if we had UCF instead, which is probably a worse team than both of them, those same people would be saying good job one scheduling tougher opponents.
6 spot jump for Houston well justified after beating FSU. Northwestern got curb stomped by Tenn so that was pretty justified also. NW got too much mileage out of their win over Stanford to get to where they were.Pretty fair ranking IMO. While the AP poll is much better than the coaches' poll, you have to laugh at some of the drastic "corrections" made after bowl season. Houston jumps 6 spots? Northwestern drops 11 spots? Okay.
Well, The Citadel beat South Carolina this past season - something we couldn't do.http://espn.go.com/college-football...a-crimson-tide-lead-2016-way-too-early-top-25

Something like this happens every year. That's why the championship is based on the whole season.< South Carolina < The Citadel
Please welcome your new 2015-2016 College Football Champion, The Citadel!!!
