Good question. It could just be the struggles you go through playing D-1 baseball, staying healthy, etc. Maybe they will expound on that at some point if he continues to step up this season.

I would guess because he’s already in his 4th year at UNC as a red-shirt Junior who has only totaled 6 at bats in those first 3 years!!!! I remember watching him play on the same high school team as Josh Hiatt!!! In this day and age got to give Jake credit for sticking it out at UNC for 3 years without seeing much action
