IMO, the UGA game is going to tell us so much more about what we can expect from this team and, in particular our defense against the run. As did Baylor, UGA will come in looking to run the ball and hoping to put up 400--500 yards. They have two great backs who will need little more than a crease in order to rack up big gains. As was the case with Baylor, the Dogs have no proven QB and will look to keep our offense off the field with long, time consuming drives.

If the Heels can hold the UGA running game down to a respectable figure and get off the field by forcing a few three and outs, this team has a chance to have a really good season. The defensive front will need to hold their own against what is always a very good offensive line. Our young but talented linebackers will need to fill the gaps and try to make initial contact at or close to the line of scrimmage.

South Carolina was not a very good team and they beat us because of mistakes on the offensive side of the ball. This opener will tell us so much more (than did the USC game) about the Heels chances to have a great season.

To get our football program to the next level and in the conversation with the best teams in the country, winning this first game is huge! With two FCS games on the schedule a loss will be devastating. Really looking forward to this opener. Go Heels!
