about two previous no names making the Final Four. The first is Jacksonville and only because of FL. Jackson had a clear figure NBA Starr in Artis Gilmore as well as a second 7 footer with NBA potential. No FAU player stands out that way.

The second is George Mason coached by Jim Larranaga in 2006. Like FAU, that team was a very well coached unit that had been worked into being much better than its parts suggested it had any chance to become. With that runs to the Final Four at va mid-Major, Larranga still was ignored by Major conference teams hiring a new HC. When a Major conference program finally hired him for 2011-2012, not ws not a team with a basketball history. It was Miami, which had less basketball history than even Clemson.

When Dusty May took over FAU, which is his first HC job, FAU had less basketball history than Miami had when Larranaga took over the Hurricanes. And now is only his 5th season as HC, May has the Owls in the Final Four. May is not going to be FAU coach longer than a couple more seasons.

I would take Dusty May as our HC tomorrow. He is a star in the making. He has experience under some good coaches. He plays 9 players over 15 MPG. His team averages shooting 47% from the field, 37% from long distance, and 72% on FT’s. They average almost 15 APG. His teams play hard, smart, and together. Hubert will get at least 2 more years, as he should, to right the ship. I’m pulling hard for him but if he fails to do so, I would take a hard look at Dusty May as a possible successor.

Loyola of Chicago recently too. Moser got the Oklahoma gig out of it, he has struggled this year and last, but he should have some time to see if he can last. Their fanbase not happy saying he is in over his head.

I’m impressed with how stinking young they are. One sr and he’s fifth on the team in scoring. A lot of fresh and sophomores. Could be really good in a couple years.
May is pissed, saying the big boys are already trying to poach players even while they are still alive in the tournament.

I'm very familiar with Johnell Davis, he is getting a lot of attention now from those type schools who should of been on him out of his great high school career. They are on him now...lol

Heard that a prominent team in the SEC will be going hard after Dusty May once the season is over.

Shaka has been a mixed bag since getting VCU to the final 4, and his move to the power conference level. Did not go well at Texas, but solid start at Marquette.

Larranaga a hit at Miami, after George Mason run.

Moser very shaky start at Oklahoma, after Loyola of Chicago run.

It seems that Dusty May has the least impressive resume of those 4 at the point of his run, it will be interesting to see who gives him the reigns and how he does.

He will be "putting his name in the portal" though, for sure, and have suitors.
