Hudson falling so quickly behind a guy who did not start until his SR year in HS tells something, or several somethings combined: how much better FL HS football is than NC HS football; the work ethics of the two young QBs; Hudson's desire to arrange his college career ASAP better so he can play rather than sit another couple years at least; the staff's preferences.
That latter could become discernible should Hudson move on and, ether at another P5/4 school or at a G5, not just start, but look good as a starter.

He was never really THAT good in HS, if you look at the tape. Had a team of all-stars and looked below average in games against quality opponents. Rocket arm but needs to work on his accuracy. He wanted to go to UNC, so you take him, but I never thought he’d play here.
