UNC journalist professors would have a coronary after reading that line. The way UNC J-School teaches it, you're absolutely not ever ever supposed to identify a suspect by race (one of numerous things I disagree with about how they taught but yeah).

Hospital says he should make a full recovery. This guy is the real deal, a real hero. He fought off six attackers.
