Garrett Walston commits to UNC

4 star tight end Garrett Walston switched his commitment from UGA to UNC tonight!
I have seen this kid play and he is solid.

That's interesting. I would say that our D showing it is growing up, which is necessary to winning more than 8, combined with the Bama beat down of UGA signaled that we have a better chance to win our conference the next 4 years than UGA does.

And the fact that UGA seems to always have a ton of 4 and 5 stars at TE and UNC doesn't. This
Is a good pickup and Walston will be on campus in Jan. ready to go.

Great news! Winning cures a lot of problems. Considering the black cloud that is the NCAA hanging over us, I think we've recruited well. If we continue to improve and win games, our recruiting pitch should only be more appealing to recruits.

As we do not use any FB, we can use 2 TEs together, especially inside the 10 yard line. UGA uses big old fashioned FBs, which means much less opportunity to play 2 TEs together.

I was looking at past rankings of TE recruits and saw that Eric Ebron was a 3 star.
He turned out to be a beast!! Walston has been compared, by his HS coach, to Ebron.
Maybe we will get lucky and our TE's will become a force in the future.
